Eucalyptus Journal Term 4 Week 6 Chesterfield Farm Excursion
What a fabulous day we had at Chesterfield Farm! There was great excitement on the bus and throughout the day as the children interacted with so many animals. We saw chickens, pigs, cows, emus, a camel, peacocks, red deer, goats, rabbits and even a lama and much more! The children explored the farm on foot and by tractor. It was such a thrill to watch the children actively engage in the farm environment. They visited the nursery to pat piglets, kids (baby goats), bunnies, a calf and a blue tongue lizard! Milking Ginger the cow was a real hands on experience. Watching the shearing of a sheep and Bo the dog round up the sheep were definitely highlights too!
