DESCRIPTION
In this controversial regulation the EU unilaterally withdraws trade preferences for countries in Sub Sahara Africa who are in the process of negotiations of new trade agreement with the EU, the so called Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs). This decision is seen as a political move by the EU that should convince these countries to ratify these agreements in their current form. Disregarding their request to make adjustments to the current text of these treaties.TRANSCRIPT
