ASSIST-ME Assess Inquiry in Science, Technology and Mathematics Education.
A collaborative research project (2013-16) with the overall aim to provide a research base on effective uptake of formative and summative assessment for inquiry-based, competence oriented Science, Technology and Mathematics (STM) education.

This collaborative project (2014-2016) with eight partners from Europe and South Africa aims to foster high quality interactions in classrooms in participating countries that are instrumental in raising achievement and which support teachers in enabling all students to: Learn more science and mathematics - Get better at learning science and mathematics - Feel better about themselves as science and mathematics studentsThis design research project will:• Produce a toolkit for teachers to support the development of practice in science
and mathematics education• Produce a professional development resource that exemplifies the use of the
toolkit• Offer approaches for the use of new technologies to support formative
assessment in mathematics and science• Develop sustainable assessment and feedback practices that improve
attainment in mathematics and science.
