What is chainflex® M?

chainflex® M is a new, complete range of cables: We have developed chainflex® M as a range covering all types of cables in restraint-guidedapplications in e-chains® – from control, motor, servo and measuring systemcables, to data and bus cables. The series are supplied in oil-resistant andnon-oil-resistant versions, as well as with two different sheathing materials.This way, we are meeting the budget requirements of those customerswho design machines or plants for 1million parts or cycles. For example.chainflex® M stands for guaranteed service life over one million double strokesand a reduction in costs compared with the types already on the market.

Why introduce the new cable category chainflex®M?

Our current chainflex® range of cables with no less than 1,030 differentcable types is manufactured and tested for very demanding, permanentlymoving applications in energy chains with high cycle rates, speeds andaccelerations in demanding environmental conditions. These high require -ments come at a price, of course. However, there are numerous applicationsin machine and plant construction which do not require these high cyclerates. We have developed our chainflex® M range as a low-cost alternativefor just such applications. It is reliable and at the same time competitivewithin the global market.

What is special about chainflex® M?

The "M" in the brand name stands for one million guaranteed double strokes.In other words, our chainflex® M cables keep their promise: We guaranteeone million cycles of functional reliability and service life, which is uniquein this price segment. Particularly since chainflex® M is designed and manu-factured especially for use in energy chains. We can give this guaranteebecause we test all cables and systems permanently with reference toapplications, and can therefore make reliable statements about cable service lives. In our in-house laboratory, which has 1,750 m² of floor space,we have 700 tests running in parallel and carry out two billion test cyclesevery year – including simulated-reality tests on chainflex® M.

What are the customer benefits of chainflex® M?

Customers receive a functional guarantee for a service life of one millioncycles for all chainflex® M cables – and thus planning reliability at affordableprices. The chainflex® M cable series are in the same price segment as thecables on the market for non-restraint-guided movements. In other words,chainflex® M cables have three advantages for users: 1. Reliability, since tested2. Low price, since they are not "over-engineered"3. Large comprehensive range with the usual igus® service
