GREAT YARMOUTH OfficE01493 446600

This is our inaugural edition of our brand new monthly newsletter brought to you by the team in the etpm Great Yarmouth Office. Our aim is not to bore you with another industry publication, but to put a spin and an insight into the crazy day to day life of all of us from Yarmouth.

CA-EBS Training – Completed yours yet?

So far, more than 60,000 offshore workers have successfully complet-ed their Category A Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System train-ing since the standard was launched in July.

From the 1st of September 2014, all UK passengers travelling by hel-icopter to and from an offshore in-stallation and are not seated next to an emergency exit are required to wear the device. As of January 1st 2015, ALL UK passengers on all UK helicopter flights will be required to wear the device and have received the training.

Christian Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney??..

Who I hear you say? Well on Sunday 5th Octo-ber etpm Great Yarmouth’s very own superstar football players took to Lowestoft Towns Football Pitch, AKA Dean Spencer & Sally Spaull.

This was all in aid of the East of England Air Am-bulance service and was a battle between the Oil and Gas Team Vs the Renewables. Both Sally & Dean sporting the Yellow & Black striped shirt for the Oil & Gas Team.

Post match analysis from Dean, “As the secret weapon, Sally and I started easy, on the bench! Sally came on after 30mins and played right to the end. I came on at half time and somehow managed to crawl to the final whistle! A Stella effort but the final score was 13-6 to the Renew-ables. However golden Boot Spaull managed to get on the score sheet with a blinding shot that had the keeper and the rest of the team fooled!”

A great effort and the rest of the etpm team and family members were in the crowd cheering them on.

Vessel Visit to the Seajacks Leviathan

All of the team got invited for a VIP tour around the jack up rig the Leviathan. This included a tour of the whole vessel includ-ing the Heli deck (as per the pics) on an unusually sunny day across the Great Yar-mouth Harbour, and some very scrummy food (which pleased Dean’s stomach) in the galley.
