Release IBWebComponent 4.4.3

Analytics 04.02.00 releases the new version of the software for consulting and building reports on the DWH: IBWebComponent 4.4.3. The update is mandatory in order to open the reports.

You can proceed in two different operating modes:

• CASE 1) each user must independently update the version of the IBWebComponent following the

Analytics update;

• CASE 2) the system administrator can launch the silent update on clients in a preventive manner, so

that users do not have to perform any activity (only for Windows operating systems).

CASE 1) IBWebComponent 4.4.3 user installation

When creating / opening a report after the Analytics update 04.02.00, each user will be required to install the new version of IBWebComponent 4.4.3.

The user must choose the correct setup based on the operating system (Windows, Mac OS). Installation is guided and takes a few seconds. At the end of the installation it will be possible to create / open a report.

The installation of the new version of IBWebComponent will be required only once.

Important: the installation of the IBWebcomponent must be performed in a folder in which the user has read and write rights. Therefore, do not install under C:\Program Files (default installation path) if the user is not a system administrator.

Note: if the user does not have installation rights on their PC, they must contact their technical department.

CASE 2) Command line silent installation

Installed version: 4.4.3 compatible from Analytics 04.02.00 onwards.

The "webcomponents_win.exe" setup can be downloaded from the MyZucchetti personal area from the path “Technical Area > After-sales > Products > HR > Analytics > Installations > Setup IBWebComponent 4.4.3”. Alternatively, after the update, the setup can be downloaded from the Tools – Webapp – Download webcomponent menu item.

You can use the following command line instructions to remotely update IBWebComponent installations on clients.

Command line instruction for Windows systems:

[nome_setup] /S /P64=0

or

[nome_setup] /S /P64=1

where:

• [nome_setup]: webcomponents_win.exe

• /S: silent installation (no user notifications);

• /DIR=C:\directory_name: specify the installation path if different from the default, without enclosing the path in double quotes even in the presence of spaces; if omitted, the default path is the operating system's Program Files folder. Note: if this option is used, the installation path must be different from the path of the previous version (4.4.0), so that the latter is not overwritten.

Example:

webcomponents_win.exe /S /P64=1 /DIR=C:\webcomponentdirectory_443

Attention: IBWebcomponent 4.4.3 is compatible with the versions of Analytics starting from 04.02.00.

When the silent installation of the webcomponent is anticipated with respect to the Analytics update, to ensure the backward compatibility of the webcomponent it is necessary to keep the previous version on the user's PC.

Hardware requirements

Supported client operating systems: • Windows 10 • Mac OSX 10.13 High Sierra • Mac OSX 10.14 Mojave • Mac OSX 10.15 Catalina • Mac OSX 11.00 Big Sur (access to some folders may be required based on privacy settings; access must be allowed for the application to function correctly)

Recommended CPU: Intel® Core ™ i3 or higher Memory: 4GB minimum, 8GB recommended Hard Disk Space: minimum 10 GB Minimum video resolution: 1280x720 Recommended browser: Chrome (Windows / MacOS)

Proxy Analytics Configuration

To allow automatic proxy configuration, make sure that you have write rights in the WebComponent installation folder and that the machine on which it is run has access to the internet, if you access it via public URL.

Note: you can copy the proxyconf.ini file to the new installation folder (if present in the installation folder of the previous version) to inherit the configuration when different from the default (System settings).

If the user is unable to access the WebComponent due to connection problems, check the proxy configuration. The WebComponent automatically inherits the system settings.

If necessary, you can intervene manually by following the manual proxy configuration procedure:

• click “New report” to create a new report in order to start the WebComponent

Through the wizard it is possible to load customized templates starting from one of the Activated templates in final mode. Clicking on "Manage activated" will enable the "Template custom" section of the side menu. The functions of this section are the same as in the Template> Power BI> Upload custom template menu point. Summary of steps for loading custom template

1) It is possible to upload the custom template from the Wizard in the “Template custom> Upload” section or from the menu point “Template> Power BI> Upload custom template”. If you start from the menu point, you must select the source template.

2) Load the original pbit file as a temporary custom (drag the file into the “Drag files here” box).

Important: The file must be renamed in such a way that it has the name (code) that you want to give to the future custom template. The prefix must be PBI_. Example: PBI_ERM_CUSTOM.pbit. Fill in the required information:

• Template Description: Enter the desired template description. It will be visible to users in the MyAnalytics section.

• Date: Analysis start date and analysis end date can be set if different from the default. • Template language: Select the language in which the template has been defined. • Documentation: it is possible to upload a pdf document (example: PBI_ERM_CUSTOM.pdf).

Save. Configure the template by assigning it to the administrator user we are using.

3) Open the custom template. From the toolbar select "Transform data" to open the Power Query

Editor. Select the query "PQConnection" in the list on the left. From the toolbar select "Advanced Editor". Change the “Template” line in the code by inserting the custom template code (the file name followed by _1). Example: Template = PBI_ERM_CUSTOM_1. Apply the changes by updating the data (Close and Apply button at the top left). Export the .pbit model.

4) Load the new .pbit file just created from the menu point "Template> Power BI> Upload custom

template" (which will overwrite the previous one).

APPENDIX: TECHNICAL NOTE

Config.properties file replaced by ib_settings table

The config.properties file present in the webapp at the WEB_INF / classes path has been replaced by the ib_settings table (on the HR database). During the update to version 04.02.00, the contents of the file have been written to the new table and the file has been renamed with the “.bak” extension. The information in the new table is the same as in the file and concerns the communication between the Analytics webapp and the Infobusiness services.

File variable config.properties

Table field ib_settings Meaning of the content Example

IBServiceUrl WSADDRESS URL of the InfoBusiness Web service with indication of the server IP and SOAP port)

http://127.0.0.1:1024/wsdl

FTPServerAddress FTPSERVERADDRESS IP address of the service FTP server (Address of the server hosting the IBWeb service or the external FTP service)

127.0.0.1

FTPServerPort FTPSERVERPORT Port on which the FTP server responds (Usually 21 for FTP 22 for SFTP)

21

FTPLogin FTPLOGIN Username of the FTP service, for internal service is "IBWEBFTP"

IBWEBFTP

FTPPassword FTPPASSWORD Password of the FTP service, for internal service it is "IBWEBFTP"

IBWEBFTP

FTPMode FTPMODE FTP connection mode (FTPMode = ACTIVE or FTPMode = PASSIVE)

PASSIVE

Please note: if you need to change one of these values, you need to update the ib_settings table directly on the database. Alternatively, you can rename the config file by removing the .bak extension, modify the file and reload the Analytics webapp. The reload will update the new values in the table and return the .bak extension to the file.
