'ave you ever as(ed for permission to do)nload materials from the internet such as
music! articles! graphic and other material. *f you have! you are follo)ing the computer
code of conducts. There are many )eb sites )ith restriction )here the public is allo)ed
to use their material. +sers may have to pay royalty ,fee- to the o)ner or uote the
)ebsite in their assignment or pro/ect! in order to be able to use this material.
Eamples of ethical computer code of conducts include:
1 sending )arning about viruses to other computer users
2 as(ing permission before sending any business advertisements to others
3 using information )ith authori0ation

1. e often see pirated $2s! soft)are and $2 being sold at the night mar(et.
4uying pirated soft)are is an eample of unethical activity in computer ethic.
2. A guideline is needed to stop the current technology products from being
eploited for eample copying originals $2s and selling them as pirated
soft)are! this unethical behavior can be controlled by the code of conducts.
3. +nder the Malaysia $opyright act 1567! any individual charge )ith piracy )ill be
fine up to 18!888 for each copy or up to 9 years imprisonment or both.
4. $omputer ethics is a system of moral standards or values used as a guideline
for computer users.

human intellect that is uniue and has a value in the mar(et place. This covers
