Methanol + Methanoic acid Methyl Methanoate
SMELL OF ESTER: a clear liquid with an ethereal (delicate & light) , very pleasant ether-like odour.
Ethanol + Ethanoic acid Ethyl Ethanoate
SMELL OF ESTER: sweet smell like fruit candy and is used in glues & nail polish removers.
Propanol + Propanoic acid Propyl Propanoate
SMELL OF ESTER: distinctly fruity odor , almost similar to the sweet odour of pineapples.
Butanol + Butanoic acid Butyl Butanoate
SMELL OF ESTER: a very pleasant odour, used in the flavor industry to create sweet fruity flavors that are similar to pineapple. It occurs in many kinds of fruit including apple, banana, berries, pear, plum, and strawberry.
Pentanol + Pentanoic acid Pentyl Pentanoate
SMELL OF ESTER: a fruity odour similar to apple and pineapple. Used to replicate the scent or flavour of apple, and sometimes pineapple.
Hexanol + Hexanoic acid Hexyl Hexanoate
SMELL OF ESTER: plant like odour.
