ESSENTIAL MEDIA INFORMATION

3.1

OVERVIEWAround 1,500 members of the print and electronic media are expected to cover the sixth edition of the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016. In this section, we are providing you with all the information relating to accreditation under the following headings

• Accreditation information

• Accreditation center and match-day ticket booth details at each venue

ACCREDITATION INFORMATIONAccreditation PassesMedia covering the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016, are required to carry their tournament accreditation passes to access any official venue, including match venues and training grounds.

If you lose your pass, you must report it as soon as possible to the nearest Accreditation Centre (details below). The accreditation team may re-issue your pass, but only with the prior approval of the ICC.

Match-day ticketsIn addition to your tournament pass, on match-days you will require a match-day ticket to enter the venue. These are issued on the basis of confirmation emails sent to applicants based on their choice of matches they intend to cover.

Media, which have emails confirming that they have been accredited for the match, can collect the match-day ticket from the venue two hours prior to the start of the match until half an hour after the start of the match at specially defined media ticket collection booths, which are separate from the venue accreditation centres.

It is strongly recommended that you take a copy of the email confirmation to avoid any delays on the day.

Note: You will need to collect your ticket in person; your colleagues cannot collect it for you.

Wait-listsThere are no waiting-lists, so if you do not receive a confirmation that you have been allocated that match, then please don’t turn-up at the venue on the match day expecting admission to the press box.

Entry to semi-finals and finalsMatch selections for the semi-finals and the finals will take place in the third phase of the accreditation process, which will run between 25 and 28 March.

Again, in this process, applicants will have to revisit their accreditation page to select the knock-out matches they wish to attend. The ICC will follow its priority order before confirming allocations.

Accreditation FAQs can be found at http://iccwt20media.dnanetworks.co.in/media/faqsmedia.aspx

• A maximum of one reporter representing organisations from non-playing teams, regional newspapers, TV / radio stations, websites and magazines

Filming inside the venue on match daysWhen applying for accreditation, you have acknowledged the terms and conditions that preclude filming by non-rights holders at match venues on match days.

If you are found filming in the venue on match days, then you risk having your tournament accreditation cancelled, as well as any other passes that have been allocated to your organisation.

Non-match daysWhile a match-day ticket is essential to gain entry into the venue on a match-day, it is not a requirement for the non-match days.

In addition, there are no restrictions on filming in the venue on non-match days.

Anyone with tournament accreditation pass, including all non-right holders, can cover non-match day activities.
