2. Cola Usually contains caffeine, lots of sugar and caramel colouring and is often used in long cocktails, like Long Island Ice Tea. 3. Double Cream Is used to add a rich, thick texture to both hot and cold cocktails. It is often diluted with milk to achieve the desired consistency. 4. Fresh Coffee Make a real difference to the taste of a finished cocktail providing a rich, deep stimulating flavour to the drink. 5. Fresh Mint Mostly a perennial herb that typically refers to the genus Mentha, which includes about 25 species. It is one of the most common cocktail ingredients. 6. Ginger Ale Less strong in flavor than the ginger beer, this is non-alcoholic carbonatedrink contains essence ginger, colouring and sweeteners. 7. Grand Marnier A very popular French orange-flavored liqueur that can be enjoyed on its own or mixed in a wide variety of cocktails. 8. Cranberry Juice Used in many well-known cocktails, such as Cosmopolitan or Sex on the Beach or simply mixed with vodka and ice. 9. Dry Vermouth A type of fortified, aromatised wine produced in northwest of Italy and south east of France. 10. Fresh Eggs Can appear as unusual ingredient for making cocktails, however, it is used commonly in many recipes. 11. Gin Made with juniper berries, the most common type used in cocktail is London dry gin which features a pleasant round bitter taste. 12. Ginger Beer This carbonated soft drink is similar to ginger ale, but tends to be much stronger in flavour due to the larger amount of ginger used. 13. Grapefruit Juice Just like the cranberry, grapefruit juice contains lots of antioxidants and vitamins particularly when the flesh is darker. 14. Grenadine Syrup Also known as pomegranate syrup, commercially produced syrup today are often flavoured with red berries and cherry juice. 15. Ice By far the most important ingredient for preparing cocktails, ice comes in many forms and used in different ways accordingly. 16. Lime Cordial A mix with lime juice and sugar, lime cordial was first used to preserve lime juice without alcohol. It is used to add citrusy flavor to cocktails 17. Maraschino Cherry Is preserved, sweetened cherry, which features an almond flavour. It is mostly used to garnish cocktails 18. Orange Juice Most commonly used fruit juice for mixing cocktails, orange juice is packed with vitamin C and extremely easy to make yourself. 19. Raspberries Raspnerries are sweet and intense, rich in anti oxidant vitaminC and a key ingredient for many cocktails. They are mostly used for their juice and garnish. 20. Soda Water Known as seltzer, is a carbonated drink with carbon dioxide and is used to dilute cocktails and alcohols. 21. Honey For the purpose of mixing cocktails, it is often easier to use naturally runny honey-light honey is usually best given its delicate flavor. 22. Lemons Together with lime, lemons are probably the most commonly used ingredient for making cocktails aside from sugar syrup and ice. 23. Limes Smaller, rounder and slightly more sour than lemons, green limes are used as a core ingredient in a variety of rum cocktails. 24. Milk Dairy milk is used from time to time to add body and depth to certain cocktails, such as hot cocktails or coffee based cocktails 25. Strawberries Fresh strawberries are sweet and fragrant and closely related to raspberries and blackberries , being a member of the rose family. 28. Sugar cubes Many cocktail ingredients are naturally sweet, but some recipes require sugar cubes to balance the bitterness of certain ingredients 29. Tea Fresh tea adds colour, flavour and a caffeine twist to a cocktail, without empowering the ingredients present in the drink. 30. Vanilla Pods The 2nd most expensive spice after saffron and used to flavor lots of cocktails. It is often used as cocktail garnish. 31. White Rum Also known as light or silver rum is produced in many countries in Central and South America. 32. Sugar Syrup Can be an alternative to honey and easy to make yourself. 33. Tonic Water Also known as Indian TonicWater, this carbonated softdrink is flavored with quinine, giving it a slightly bitter taste. 34. Vodka Is used for making popular cocktails, such as Bloody Mary or Screwdriver. 35. Aged Tequila Is made from the blue agave, a plant similar to cactus that thrives in the volcanic soil of the Tequila region. 36. Apple juice Just like pineapple juice, there are hundreds of cocktails based on using apple juice, such as Apple Pie Martini, Voodoo or Orchard Breeze. 37. Berry Liqueur Often made by infusion or maceration of blackberries, blackcurrants or raspberries, producing a rich, fruity flavor 38. Bourbon Whiskey Named after the Bourbon County of Kentucky, bourbon whiskey is a U. S. Spirit made from the grain mixture with at least 51% corn. 43. Cointreau Liqueur Is a premium type of French triple sec liqueur made from peels of bitter and sweet oranges.
