A Bony Intro: An Example

We spend approximately 70% of our time in school, but some people think we need more time in school.

However, lengthening more hours for school days has some disadvantages students and teachers.

First, students will lack private time if the school day is made longer.

Second, students can study by themselves at home, so they don’t need a longer school day.

Last, teachers will have to work longer—something that might make their work worse.

Despite these reasons, some still want to make the school day longer; I’ll explain why that’s a bad idea.

At my high school, Valley Center High School, teachers and students protested longer school days and won. Protests will continue as long as this idea is alive. Despite all the reasons against it, some still want to make the school day longer; I’ll explain why that’s a bad idea.
