    Enrolling onto eLearning

    User Guide

  • Login

    The ESR login page can be found at https://my.esr.nhs.uk/ or via the Trust Intranet ESR page found within the Quick Links section on the homepage.

    You will firstly access the ESR portal, by clicking the “Login to ESR” button located in the top right of the screen.

    You will be presented with 2 ways of logging in:

    1. Using Username and Password credentials: for those without a smartcard or accessing from outside the Trust

    2. With your Smartcard: for access from inside the Trust if you have a smartcard

  • Enter your Username and Password into the boxes. Your Username will usually start with 318 , followed by your first initial, surname (up to 6 letters) and a 2 digit number starting from 01, e.g. 318JBLOGGS01.

    If you do not know your username and/or password, please click the Forgotten | Re-quest Username/Password | Unlock Account link at the bottom of the page.

  • ESR Dashboard

    The Dashboard page will contain various sections such as Compliance, Annual Leave and Payslips.

    eLearning modules can be accessed via the My Compliance section.

  • My Compliance section

    The My Compliance section will contain a list of courses which you will need to com-plete.

    Click the chevron next to the bar to expand the list of courses which are due to be completed.

    Status key:

    Red: Course has not been completed or has expired.

    Amber: Course to be renewed within 3 months.

    Please note that currently only the Display Screen Equipment is available to be completed this way. For other courses, you must use the local eLearning system or book via the Trust Intranet pages.

  • My Compliance section

    Select the radio button to the left of Display Screen Equipment, then click the magnifying glass button in the middle.

  • Enrolling onto a Course

    The process outlined below is a one-off enrolment onto the course. When the course is due for renewal you will be able to just click the play button.

    1. In the certifications section, click the details icon beneath the Details column.

  • 2. Subscribe onto the course by clicking the Subscribe button.

  • 3. To confirm, click the Finish button.

  • 4. On the next page, in the Mandatory Courses section, click the Enrol button.

  • 5. You are now enrolled onto the course, to launch the course click on the green play button.

  • 6. You have now successfully enrolled onto and launched a course.

    7. To close the course click the house icon located in the top right of the screen.

  • If you are already enrolled onto a course, you will be able to launch the course by click-ing on the play button in the My Compliance section.

  • After you have finished a course, you will need to close the course correctly. This is done by clicking the house icon which is located in the top right of the screen.

    Please note that courses must be closed down in this way in order for the completion to be recorded.

    The “My Compliance” bar should now fill further and the percentage will increase. If this is not the case, please email the support team [email protected]
