You will need to find someone in the room who can answer ‘yes’ for each of the items on the list.

• Walk around the room with the list and interview each other.

• When you find someone who answers “yes”, write their name in the blank.

• You may only write a student’s name once. (This means you must find a DIFFERENT person for each item).

• When you’ve filled in the list with names, bring it to Caitlin or Jackie to check.

THIS IS A CONTEST!! THE FIRST PERSON TO COMPLETE THE FORM WILL GET A PRIZE!!

• If you use another person’s words or ideas in

an assignment you must properly cite the

source (say where you found the words or

ideas).

• If you do not know how to do this, ask!

Because…

Page 22: Esl+dsp13 (1)

THE NEW SCHOOL ESL+DESIGN

• If you plagiarize you will receive a FAILING grade for the assignment.

• If you plagiarize you may FAIL the course. At Parsons you may be dismissed from the university.

• Your instructors and the University Writing Center can help you to avoid plagiarism, but you are responsible for the work you submit.

PLAGIARISM IS A SERIOUS OFFENCE.
