THURSDAY 30 MARCH

For interstate agents, upon arrival in Sydney you will be met by our AAT Kings Representative and then transferred to the Grace Hotel, Sydney. For NSW agents, check in to the hotel after 2pm and enjoy some relaxing free time. Tonight we enjoy a Welcome dinner at Nick’s Seafood Bar and Grill in fashionable Darling Harbour.

FRIDAY 31 MARCH

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before being transferred by coach to The Rocks in preparation for your BridgeClimb experience. We have scheduled group times but the short wait will be well rewarded with magnificent unrestricted views over Sydney Harbour and the Sydney skyline.

As the adrenalin subsides we will take a leisurely walk to Circular Quay for our lunch cruise on Sydney Harbour. We will board Captain Cooks’ luxurious Sydney 2000 to cruise around the harbour and enjoy a sumptuous seafood buffet lunch. After the cruise there will be time to freshen up at the hotel ready for our evening farewell event.

Tonight we transfer to Tobruk Sydney, an authentic sheep station just over an hour from the CBD for some fun and entertainment as we farewell you before you depart on the next leg of the Great Escape.

SATURDAY 01 APRIL

This morning we will transfer you to Sydney International Airport for your flight. Pick up times will be advised. Enjoy the remainder of the TTC Great Escape and safe travels from the whole AAT Kings Team.

SUNDAY 02 APRIL

Arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Upon arrival, a tour brief of Kuala Lumpur city before check in. A must for first time visitors to Kuala Lumpar, an interesting tour which unveils the beauty and charm of the old and new Kuala Lumpur – Garden City of Light. Highlights of the tour include: Petronas Twin Towers (photo stop), King’s Palace (photo stop), National Monument, National Museum (exclude entrance fee), National Mosque (photo stop), Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the Tudor styled Cricket Club.

Check in and rest of the day is at leisure.

MONDAY 03 APRIL

Breakfast at the hotel before departing from Kuala Lumpur for Cameron Highlands, which sits 1542 meters above sea level. Cameron Highlands is famous for its world-renowned tea.

Upon arrival at the Cameron Highlands, check in hotel. Rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

TUESDAY 04 APRIL

Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast explore the many interesting sights of this hill resort. Visit a tea plantation & tea factory to learn about the tea making process and you can also sit down and enjoy a cup of tea at the cafe. The view overlooking the plantations is beautiful and perfect. This hill resort produces vegetables for the nation’s consumptions as well as for exports. Continue visit to Butterfly Farm. After visiting the vegetable farm (photo stop) and strawberry farm, continue to the morning market where you can find all the produce of Cameron Highlands sold in one place. This is where most of the local tourist would bargain for their favorite local produce. Lastly take a stroll around Tanah Rata before returning to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure in the afternoon.

WEDNESDAY 05 APRIL

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, continue the journey and drive towards Penang. En route, we will make a rest stop at Kuala Kangsar, before cross to Penang.

Cross over to Penang using the forth longest bridge in Southeast Asia, arriving approximately by late afternoon.

Upon arrival in Penang, our guide will accompany Contiki’s TM for the short exploration of Georgetown on a walking tour. Start with the world’s 4th longest statue of The Reclining Buddha – Wat Chayamangkalaram followed by Dhammikarama Temple, first Buddhist temple built in Penang in 1803, an elaborately decorated Burmese Temple. Be surprised with the eye-catching street arts and wall deco, coloring most of the little streets within Georgetown. The rest of the sightseeing within Georgetown will be determined by Contiki’s Tour Manager. After, check in at the hotel.

THURSDAY 06 APRIL

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Penang jetty in the morning for the ferry to Langkawi. Arrival at Langkawi jetty. Meet & Greet. Transfer to your hotel and check-in.

In the evening, pick up for a sunset cruise on a yacht. Admire the sunset while enjoying cocktails and a barbecue dinner with family and friends – a perfect way to finish the day and start the evening. While you sail on a shared yacht with a few friends or future ones, discover the beauty of the 99 islands of Langkawi under sunset. Enjoy the sea and listen to waves without the interruption of noisy engines. During the trip you will enjoy on-board BBQ dinner feast with chicken, prawns, fish and a multitude of veggies and salads. Enjoy the Free Bar which will surely entertain you throughout the evening.

FRIDAY 07 APRIL

Check-out. Transfer to Langkawi Jetty. Transfer by ferry to Satun. Arrival at Tamalang pier (Satun) and transfer to your hotel at Art’s River View Lodge.

SATURDAY 08 APRIL

After breakfast drive to Cheow Larn Lake for a beautiful excursion. Arrive at Cheow larn Lake pier and board a local long tail boat. Sightseeing with the stunning scenery of Cheow larn Lake. Jungle walk (easy walking about 40 minutes to go / 40 minutes to back) through the deep jungle of Cheow larn Lake. Be amazed with stunning “stalagmite / stalactite” inside the famous “Pakarang Cave” After seeing these magnificent views, we will be heading back to the floating bamboo raft house, on the lake to have our lunch. After our delicious lunch, we will have time to relax, optional activity* will be offered either self-paddle canoeing or just simply dive in to the crystal clear water of the lake.

Head back to the pier and return back to your hotel.

Transfer from Khao Sok to Surat Thani Airport. Arrival to Bangkok Airport (Don Muang Airport or Suvarnabhumi Airport, TBC). Connecting flight to your home.
