Chinese Agape Foundation
White Bluff Church of Christ is sponsoring
this lovely little girl in China this year: Name: Liang Mei Xiu
Birth Date: March 3, 2003
She has been leading a very happy life and so appreciates our
sponsorship on her behalf! She really enjoyed a barbecue party the
middle of December and celebrated the coming holidays. That day,
she ate a lot of delicious foods and said she has a big appetite. She
was enjoying her food and talking to her friends. She really had a
good time that day. In addition to the barbecue party, we also
organized a show and she performed a dance with her friends. In
order to prepare for the show, she spent a month learning and
practicing. Their performance received much love that day and she
was successful in gaining a prize. In addition, she also received a
special holiday card.
She had three holidays to celebrate the New Year. She returned home
and spent time with her family because she hadn’t been home for
months. She was very happy to go home and celebrate. She hopes
everything will go well during the New Year. The winter here is very
cold and she got a cough a little while ago. Although she is well now,
we still advised her to exercise more and take care of herself.
Taken From the Chinese Agape Foundation Our congregation is happy to report that we have received $730 in 2015
donations for sponsoring Liang Mei Xiu and a second orphan as of
April 12. Thank you for praying for them and for your generosity
toward their needs.
The happiest heart that ever beat
was in some quiet breast that
found the common daylight sweet,
and left to heaven the rest. Cheyney
The Ladies Tea event last
Saturday was a wonderful
time had by all! Thank You
So Much to all the ladies who
organized and worked so
hard to make it beautiful and
the food was simply delicious!
This fellowship together filled
our hearts with joy and
smiles/laughter filled the day.
Remember Grandma? Grandma used to get up on Sunday morning, cook a
big breakfast for her large family, milk three or four
cows, churn, clean house, kill and dress the chickens
for dinner, dress the children, then, go with the
family in a buggy or wagon five miles to the worship
and get there early. Today, breakfast comes in a
cereal box, the milk man brings the milk and butter,
the grocery boy brings the chicken (prepared for
cooking), and the distance to the church building is
measured in blocks, not miles, covered in a modern
automobile. Yet, some just can’t make it in time for
Bible Study.
