a) It is possible for OeAD scholarship holders to bookaccommodation (dormitory or apartment) with the OeADHousing office. The monthly costs are:

· monthly rent: 220 to 480 EUR (dependingon the amenities)· monthly administrative fee: 18 EUR

b) OeAD scholarship holders need to have health insurancethat is accepted by the Austrian authorities for the durationof their stay in Austria. The OeAD can help with taking outsuch insurance. The monthly costs can vary, at the momentyou should calculate 55 to 200 EUR (depending on yourage, scholarship category and state of health).

Scholarship holders have to pay the costs foraccommodation and insurance themselves.

3) Scholarship holders are exempted from paying tuitionfees.

4) Scholarship holders from non-European developingcountries will also receive a travel costs subsidy of max. 730 EUR.

[The applicant's proposal for an innovative researchproject should focus on specific research questions,and contain a clear and detailed description of theresearch directions and objectives as well as themethodological approach. It should include:a clear problem descriptionexpected resultsmethodological approach (research design, researchquestions, research method)literature review (incl. references)list of the applicant's publications (if alreadyavailable) or qualifications to do the research inquestion.]

Written consent of the supervisor at the Austrian hostuniversity.Two letters of recommendation by university lecturers. Forthese letters of recommendation no specific form isrequired; however, they must bear the letterhead, date andsignature of the person recommending the applicant as wellas the stamp of the university/department and must not beolder than six months at the time of application.Scan of your passport (page with name and photo).Scan of all university graduation certificates as well as aGerman or English translation. General Information: Incomplete applications and applications that do not fulfilthe application criteria will not be considered;The selection process for all grants for Austria iscompetitive, i.e. there is no legal claim to a grant even if allapplication requirements are fulfilled;Scholarship holders have to be present at their place ofstudies in Austria to pursue their research activities;Scholarship holders are not allowed to take up paid work inAustria while receiving an OeAD grant;The scholarship rate is intended for single recipients only,not for accompanying family members;Applicants should consider and explicitly agree that thepersonal details in the application will be shared with theauthority dealing with their application and the contractualexchange partners as well as with other authoritiesawarding grants in Austria (§ 1 of the Data Protection Act,Federal Law Gazette of the Republic of Austria No.165/1999, as amended).

Selection procedure: Incomplete application and application notcomplying with the application criteria will not beaccepted for the further selection process. The selection is accomplished on-site by an internationalASEA-UNINET expert commission. The selection follows a multistage process:1) Examination as to formal requirements2) Examination of the application's plausibility3) Assessment based on personal interview by ASEA-UNINET experts4) Final decision by the BMWFW

Scholarship holders will get a grant contract (Letter ofAward and Letter of Acceptance) from the OeAD-GmbH/ICM. The contract covers the following aspects: Startand end dates of the grant; monthly grant rate; grantpayment modalities (including a possible travel costsubsidy); compulsory presence at the place of study;performance record; data protection.

f) Then enter your Scholarships.AT ID and password again and accept the terms of use. Click

the activate button.

g) Then click on Online Applications

h) Scroll down the menue to the category From Abroad to Austria and search the programme

you want to apply for. Click on the green Bewerbung button to start your application!
