Dr. Ismail Mahgoub got PhD. from university of Nancy, France. Member of the society of Petroleum

Engineers of the AIME and Member of the Supreme Council of universities in Egypt.

Dr. Ismail Mahgoub is a former associate professor of Petroleum Engineering at the Faculty of

Engineering, Cairo University. He received MSc and PhD degrees in Reservoir Engineering from

CNRS, INPL, Nancy France in 1979 and 1982 respectively.

Dr. Mahgoub is a Petroleum Engineer with more than 35 years of extensive experience at several

oil basins on the earth. He started his practical professional career in parallel to his academic

occupation.

Since 1983, he has approached the industrial petroleum sector by presenting his reservoir

engineering consultancy services at GUPCO, Khalda, KPC, WEPCO, Egypt and KOC Kuwait. Dr.

Mahgoub is the author and/or co-author of tens of papers in the most refereed bulletins and journals

and has presented several papers at international conferences.

Dr. Mahgoub expressed valuable experience in the continuing education domain. In this respect , he

instructed tens of petroleum engineering technical courses in Algeria , Syria , Tunisia, UAE, Qatar,

Kuwait, France, Spain, KSA and Yemen, South Sudan.

Dr. Mahgoub is more than a 35 years SPE active member. He is a member of the Supreme

Council of Universities in Egypt (Engineering Education Sector) since 2008 till now

Dr. Mahgoub is currently occupying the position of Professor and Pet Eng Dept Head, at the

Future University in Egypt, (FUE).

Characteristics of sedimentation of continental, shallow and deep marine depositional environments; Criteria for recognition of different sedimentary facies, facies association, Genetic Concepts Tectonic, climatic and eustatic controls on basin wide sedimentation; Correlate wells using knowledge of depositional environmentPost Depositional Changes, Modelling of Depositional Environments.

DR. M. DARWISH is one of the pioneers in sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy in the Middle

East and central and North Africa. He has obtained his B.Sc. in 1968 from Cairo University and

Ph.D. in 1979 from Bucharest University. He is a Professor in Cairo University for Sedimentology

and Petroleum Geology. He is EREX Consultant for Sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy for

the last 27 years for various countries. During the last twenty seven years, Dr. Darwish has offered

appreciated consulting services on sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy for the oil companies

in Egypt, Sudan, South Sudan, Libya, Yemen, Chad, Mauretania, Algeria, India and others. He has

supervised over 60 Ph.D Thesis. He has over 100 publications.
