` Please Ensure the Following before Installation

` That the server machine in your computer lab is being usedto install MKCLs ERA 3.0 (Physical server machine)

` Operating system should be either

` Win XP with SP 2 or

` Windows Server 2003

` That the C drive (Root Drive) is having minimum 6 GB freespace as per the recommended hardware setup. Free spacerequired for loading a course depends on the actual size of thecourse content.

` That the server machine is connected to internet for

Activation and Learner Data Downloading.

` That you are Installing ERA 3.0 from a login which has the

Administrative privileges.

` That you have Flash Player installed on the machines inorder to view the eContent properly

` Crystal report should be installed on server machine

` That you are Installing ERA 3.0 by keeping the installer

CD/DVD in the respective drive of the server machine

itself.

` That you have Internet Information Service (IIS) installed on

the server machine. IIS installation needs the respective

Operation Systems installation CD

` SQL Express or SQL Server 2005 should not be present on

server machine.

` On every client machine install Crystal Report and .NETframework.

` The setup files are available in ERA 3.0 installation CD.

` In Download folder

` IF Crystal Report and .NET is not installed on a clientmachine. Learners will not be able to solve IPTs on

that client machine.

` Insert the Single

click installation DVD

provided to you in

the DVD-ROM.

` Open the DVD and

then double click the

autorun.exe file which

will present the

adjacent screen toyou.

` Click on the Select

All tab, all the

options get selected

as shown in the

figure.

` Then click on

AutoSetup tab to

start the automatic

installation of all

softwares.

from the DVD then

select ERA 3.0 &

ERA Quasi OESinstaller and then

click the Setup tab.

` .Net Framework 2.0

` MSDE (Microsoft SQL

Desktop Engine)

` If .Net Framework 2.0 isnot installed earlier in your

machine, then installer will

start the installation of

.NET Framework

` If Microsoft SQL Desktop

Engine (MSDE) is not

installed earlier in your

machine, then installer willstart the installation of

MSDE for the ERA instance

` Once all the prerequisites are over, the installation of ERA3.0 will start.

for QOES installation. Which is

required for solving IPTs

with ERA3.0

` Or open the Learning facilitator login from Start >>

Programs >> MS-CIT ERA >> ERA 3.0 Learning

Facilitator` Click on Activate button to start activation process.

` A message of successful activation shall be displayed if the

Activation Key entered is correct.

` Now you are ready to enter into the eLearning world!

` In case there is insufficient space on the drive to load thecourse, a message prompt shall be displayed. Please make

provision for free space.
