Equality And Diversity I nto Leadership ProgrammeCohort Two
'From the very first meeting
until my final work shadowing
exper ience this course has been
ful l of opportunit ies and
exper iences to help direct my
attention towards becoming an
educational leader. Dur ing the
course I have met some truly
inspirational leaders and each has
managed to leave their mark on
me. '
'I conveyed my sincere thanks to
my coach; she has been a source of
constant motivation and
encouragement since the start of
the course. Had I not embarked
on the BAME Leadership course,
I wouldn't have pushed myself out
of my comfort zone and looked for
opportunit ies.'
'The course has given me plenty
of opportunit ies and exper iences,
helping me to develop var ious
features of leadership. I got to
meet some very interesting people.
One of the best aspects was the
Mock I nterview, especial ly the
feedback as I now feel sufficiently
confident to attend any interview
for leadership.'
The second cohort of our Equality And Diversity I nto Leadership Programme is planned! Beginning in November and running through the rest of the academic year, delegates will be advised and coached on all aspects of leadership; from writing application forms and letters
through interview skills to how to succeed in a leadership position when promoted. Delegates will be paired up with a coach and will also have the opportunity to shadow an existing BAME
colleague in a leadership role.
