Jeremiah Wiesehan Choir Camp Registration is OPEN! – Choir Camp will be July 9-13, 7:45 am-12 noon. Register your kids online at: http://epiphanystl.org/choir-camp VBS Registration coming soon...VBS is July 16-20. Mon-Fri, 7:45 am – 11:30 am. Letter to your alderman I put a few copies of a letter to the alderman encouraging him to vote against the proposed re-striction on our 1st amendment rights to maintain a prayerful protest outside of the Planned Parenthood. If you would like, you might take one to sign and mail in. May Crowning Our May Crowning will be at the 10:30 Mass on Sunday, May 6. Everyone is welcome to celebrate with us in the crowning of Mary during Mass and to join us afterwards for root beer floats on the porch. Mass Explanations – What are the three Holy Oils? There are three kinds of holy oil, you can see all three at the back of Church near the baptismal font, and if you were here on Holy Thursday, you witnessed the new oils for the year being brought into the Church. These oils were blessed by our Archbishop at the Thursday morning Chrism Mass at the Cathedral. The three are: 1) Oil of the Sick (OI for “Oleum Infirmorum”) 2) Oil of Catechumens “OC or OS for Oleum Catechumenorum”) 3) Sacred Chrism (SC for “Sanctum Chrisma”) The Oil of the Sick was prescribed by Saint James for use by the Church’s priests in James 5:14. This is the oil I use to anoint those who are in danger of death. The Oil of the Catechumens was originally used for exorcisms as it denoted the presence of the Holy Spirit. Since Cate-chumens - that is, those seeking baptism – are still under the influence of their sins and the devil. This is the oil that eve-ryone is anointed with at Baptism. The Sacred Chrism is used in the post-baptismal anointing, in Confirmation, for Holy Orders, the consecration of church-es, altars, and even bells.

Stewardship “The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own...” – ACTS 4:32 All that we are and all that we have is a gift from God! Think of your family, your friends, your talents, your abil-ities and your money – these are all gifts from God! We aren’t really owners of anything, we are merely “stewards” of the gifts God has blessed us with.

Urgent Action Needed
Contact your Alderman and ask them to vote NO on the Board Bill 34. This
bill establishes an eight foot buffer zone at Planned Parenthood and in-fringes on our Right to Free Speech. Call the Board of Alderman at 622-3287 and voice your opposition to this repressive bill. Bill is up for vote on April 16.
2018 Deacon Diaper Drive
"In the Archdiocese of St. Louis, the Permanent Diaco-nate, in conjunction with the Respect Life Apostolate, helps moms and families keep babies high and dry. The third annual Deacon Diaper Drive is running at parish-es throughout the archdiocese, beginning the weekend of March 17-18. Parishioners are asked to donate bags, boxes or cases of diapers at weekend Masses, with 100 percent of the donations staying local. A parish's St. Vin-cent de Paul society or food pantry, or a nearby women's shelter or crisis nursery, will distribute the diapers. You can leave your diapers at the back of church or in the St Vincent de Paul container by the cry room. In two years for the drive, St. Louis Catholics have do-nated 310,000 diapers for newborns, infants and tod-dlers. Diapers are needed in all sizes, from newborn to size 6 and pull-ups, to ensure a good range in sizes for moms and families in need. Adult diapers are welcomed as well. Call Marilyn or Gerry Unger at 645-3483 if you have any questions. Thank you for your generosity.

A Message from Archbishop Carlson Stories reveal who we are. They bind us together and pre-serve our memories. Stories teach important lessons about life and faith. Every story - including yours - contributes to who we are as Church and reveals Christ Himself to the world. The Annual Catholic Appeal is one important way for us to share our story and to reach out to those who are suffer-ing and in need, the weak and the abandoned, in every neighborhood and community in our archdiocese. Your generous response will help make possible many remarka-ble stories of hope and joy! All of these stories tell one story...the story of Christ among us. Your support helps make the story of our Cath-olic Church in St. Louis complete. Please know that your and your loved ones are in my prayers.
Most Reverend Robert J. Carlson Archbishop of St. Louis
