Anyone can create an account with epicurious and upload their recipes to share

The site also has a store and online community so foodies can connect

The intended audience of the website includes anyone who is interested in food and/or cooking

The site also holds appeal for food bloggers

+Hierarchy of Information and Essential NavigationThe epicurious website files information using the hierarchy: Recipes Articles Community Video Shop

We felt that in today’s society, the community aspect of the site should be emphasized more than the articles and we changed the navigation on our site to reflect that

The homepage also had lots of advertisements on it – we went for a cleaner, simpler look!

How our Design was Effected by the Present LayoutWe felt that epicurious had its site laid out in a traditional

manor and we made changes to the layout to reflect today’s society

For example: we raised “Community” on the hierarchy as society is more focused on social media
