SHADE was established in May 1992 by a small group of professionals with the aim of “Building a Stronger Future”.

Currently, SHADE has a workforce of more than 2000 employees, and over (5) offices, to call home, and has successfully accomplished a vast array of projects including Bridges, Tunnels, Commercial, Industrial, and Residential Complexes.

SHADE started as a General Contractor and developed to provide EPC, PM, CM, VE and Design/ Built services to clients across the Arabian Gulf States such as ARAMCO, Royal Commission, Ministry of Transportation, SABIC, MA’ADEN, Municipalities, Saudi Bahraini Causeway Authority, Water Directorate, Saudi Electric Company, Saudi Naval Forces, Qatar Petroleum and more.

Today SHADE stands proud as one of the leading EPC Contractors in the region, and continues to set new goals, with higher standards in our quest of “Building a Stronger Future”.

CCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

• The management of SHADE is committed to prevent accidental loss of any of its resources, including employees and physical assets. Our objective is to conduct our business in the safest possible manner and to continually strive to obtain an injury free workplace.

• In order to protect both people and property, management will provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirements, and will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in property damage, accidents or personal injury / illness.

• We recognize that the responsibility for health and safety are shared. All employees will be equally responsible for minimizing accidents within our facilities and on our worksites. Safe systems of work and job procedures will be clearly defined and communicated for all employees to follow.

• Accidental loss can be controlled through good management in combination with active employee involvement. Safety within SHADE is the direct responsibility of all managers, supervisors, employees and subcontractors.

We take pride in self performing our work rather than taking the risk of relying only on subcontractors. However, we have our own pre-approved

subcontractors list that has been established over the years.

SHADE heavily concentrates on risk assessments, by reviewing and analyzing construction documents and preparing necessary shop drawings and work procedures to reduce problems during construction. Yet, we are flexible to accommodate design changes and will work as a team to integrate these changes with an aim to stay on schedule and below budget. Value Engineering (VE)

Our VE follows the structured thought process that is based exclusively on “Function”, i.e. what something “does” and not what it is. Our objective is to successfully reduce the life cycle cost, without reducing the life cycle time while maintaining the highest level of quality.
