BioGen™ Mini

BioGen™ Mini is designed to deliver vapourised hydrogen peroxide (VHP-U™) into a contained enclosure, e.g. a laboratory workstation, safety cabinet or containment isolator for the purpose of surface decontamination. VHP-U™ is a much safer alternative to the traditional decontamination agent, formaldehyde.

VHP-U™ decontamination is proven to perform a 6-log reduction in bacteria, bacterial spores, fungi, fungal spores, viruses and other colony forming units and micro-organisms.

Fully validated decontamination providing 6 log sporicidal reduction. The BioGenTM range offers solutions for all areas, from safety cabinets, small enclosures, hospital theatres to manufacturing facilities.

BioGen™ Mini can be used as a mobile decontamination system, using a portable ultrasonic nozzle which disperses the hydrogen peroxide solution during injection. The BioGen™ Mini is connected to the nozzle by two polyurethane tubes one carrying the hydrogen peroxide, the other supplyng compressed air injection.

What decontamination solution is used?

How is the unit operated?

Hydrogen peroxide solution is safely transferred into the dispersal nozzle via tubing.

How do I know the decontamination is complete?

The cycle times indicated in the table below are usually sufficient and can be checked with a low level monitor.

When is the cabinet safe for general access after cycle?

On completion of the cycle, the user can easily check PPM levels of H2O2 with the portable low level sensor provided.

Can the BioGenTM Mini be used as a portable system?

Yes, the injection nozzles can be mounted onto a mobile stand for easy transfer from cabinet to cabinet.

How is the process validated?

Cycles are validated and requalified using Enzyme Indicators (Protak Scientific EIs) or Biological Indicators.

Enzyme Indicators (EI) are an industry-changing advance in measuring decontamination performance. We believe they will change the world. No longer will the pharmaceutical industry suffer financial losses, wasted man hours and the burden of high risks. EIs offer a fast, cost effective, accurate and risk-free alternative.

Unlike the traditional Biological Indicator process which involves a wait of 7 days before a result is known, every cycle using EIs can be validated immediately and decontamination performance assured.
