On May 18,2015 Job Training for Beaver County, Inc. took its Entre-preneurship Training Program on the road. The first stop was The Franklin Center in Aliquippa, PA. Sandra Curry, Program Coordina-tor of the center helped spearhead the event.
The On the Road Program is part of Job Training for Beaver County’s outreach efforts to offer services throughout Beaver County. By collaborating with neighborhood organizations we believe we can provide more opportunities for our residents to receive our training.
Because of the size of Beaver County and the lack of mobility of some of its residents, it is important to bring the program to the communi-ties as entrepreneurship is an integral part in the health and vitality of our local economy.
Kelly A. Hunt, District Director for the Pittsburgh District Office of the Small Business Administration, joined JTBC Entrepreneurship Training Program to kick off this initiative.
The event was attended by many Beaver County community leaders, some of which include: Mayor Dwan B. Walker, City of Aliquippa; Suzanne Modrak, Community Development Program of Beaver County; Skip Boykin, UPMC Community Relations Manager; and Kaitlyn Yeager, Beaver County Chamber of Commerce. Many past graduates who are now successful small business owners also partici-pated in the program. Beaver Falls is the next future stop ………………….… all aboard!
