    1.1 INTRODUCTION:

    1. CDC’s “Online Transactions” is a facilitation service extended to those IAS account holders

    that wishes to carry out transaction pertaining to “Portfolio Transfer” including intra

    Account and Inter Participant.

    2. Pre-requisites for availing “Online Transactions”

    a. IAS Account.

    b. Subscription to CDS Web Access Service.

    c. IAS account must have valid e-mail address and mobile number.

    1.2 ACCESSING “ONLINE TRANSACTION” TAB 1. The Online Transaction subscriber accesses the CDC’s web access portal through

    www.cdcaccess.com.pk.

    2. User enters the login Id on the home page of the portal and on successfully login lands on

    “Portfolio Summary” page.

    3. “Online Transactions” tab shall appear for those logged-in Web Access users who have

    subscribed for “Online Transactions”.

    4. Icons for following feature set shall be available under “Online Transactions” tab:

    a. Manage Beneficiary

    b. Manage Portfolio Transfer

    5. The session shall expire if the Web Access screen remains idle for 10 minutes.

    1.3 “ADDING BENEFICIARY”

    1. For adding “Beneficiary”, access the “Manage Beneficiary” page through:

    a. Online Transaction Tab, or

    b. Icon for “Manage Beneficiary”

    2. Initially, there are no records on the data grid.

    3. Click the “Add Beneficiary” button.

    a. System is redirected to “Add Beneficiary” page.

    4. On “Add Beneficiary” screen, user will be provided following two options to select the

    Beneficiary Type:

    a. Intra Account Beneficiary

    b. Inter Participant Beneficiary

    Reason Code :

    Reason Code determines how a particular transaction shall be handled by the system.

    For example, system will verify that:

    1- Same number of Joints holders should exist with “From” and “To” accounts.

    2- All UINs of “From Account” must have matching UINs for “To Account”.

    1.3.1 INTRA ACCOUNT BENEFICIARY:

    1. Selecting Beneficiary Type Intra Account Beneficiary option on “Add beneficiary” screen

    a. Reason Code field displays the code is in disabled mode e.g. A052,

    b. Participant ID field displays the IAS participant ID in disabled mode

    2. On entering of Beneficiary Account Number in “Account Number” field,

    a. On entering of Beneficiary Account Number, system will verify the UINs associated

    with the “From” (Principal) IAS Account with the UINs of “To” (Target) Beneficiary

    Account

    i. system will verify both accounts (From/To) as per the mechanism of

    mentioned reason code,

    b. Account Title is shown adjacent to the field after successful verification.

    3. System would not allow accounts with Closed or Blocked statuses.

    4. User clicks the “Submit” button on “Add Beneficiary” page

    5. System validates for following scenarios:

    a. If Invalid Account Number is entered in the field or Account Number is not verified as per the mechanism of Reason Code, system displays error message:

    b. If Account Number is missing in the field, then system displays error message:

    c. If Beneficiary already exists in profile, then system displays error message:

    d. If all validations are passed successfully then system generates One Time Password “OTP”.

    Added Beneficiary is closed at CDS End:

    If an already added beneficiary is closed at CDS end then this Beneficiary is not automatically deleted from “Manage Beneficiary” screen, however it would no longer be available at Add Portfolio Transfer Screen and hence could not be used for placing transaction against it.

    6. User is redirected to “Confirm Beneficiary” page for further processing

    Transmission of OTP:

    a) The system generated One Time Password (OTP) shall be transmitted to investor in two different parts and via two different channels.

    1. One portion (SMS PIN) of OTP is transmitted to the investor through SMS.

    i. The SMS message shall be send on the mobile number that the investor has registered at CDS.

    2. Other portion (email PIN) of OTP is transmitted to investor through email.

    i. The email shall be sent on the email address that the investor has registered at CDS.

    b) Both parts jointly form the OTP and must be entered in their respective field on “Confirm Beneficiary” screen.

    7. The screen is part of Manage Beneficiary functionality and imposes security measure prior

    to confirming adding Beneficiary.

    8. On “Confirm Beneficiary” page:

    a. Beneficiary Type as selected on “Add Beneficiary” page is displayed in disable mode.

    b. Reason Code value as were populated on “Add Beneficiary” page appear in their

    respective fields in disabled mode.

    c. Participant ID were populated on “Add Beneficiary” page appear in their field in

    disabled mode (Intra Account Beneficiary) and Participant ID as selected on “Add

    Beneficiary” page is displayed in disable mode along with Participant ID Name(Inter

    Participant Beneficiary).

    d. Account Number is entered on “Add Beneficiary” page is displayed in disabled mode

    along with Account Title.

    e. Input the SMS PIN that is received through SMS message on mobile.

    f. Input the email PIN that is received on investor’s email address.

    Resend Button Operation

    a. On executing the “Resend” function, system re-sends the last generated OTP (SMS PIN and Email PIN) to investor through respective medium (SMS and Email).

    i. Purpose: In case if either or both PINs are not received, user may request resending of last generated SMS & Email PINs through “Resend” option.

    b. The resend option works only once for a generated “OTP”.

    c. On execution of resend option, the “Resend” button becomes disabled thus restricting further transmission of the previously generated (SMS PIN and Email PIN).

    d. If (SMS PIN and/or Email PIN) still not received then user must r execute the Add Beneficiary again.

    Mobile Number Portability:

    Mobile Number Portability is not supported. SMS PIN shall not be transmitted to Mobile numbers that are ported to other Networks.

    9. User clicks the “Confirm” button.

    10. System validates for following scenarios:

    i. If “No”, system displays message:

    b. “Correct” SMS and Email PINs are entered in respective field:

    i. If “No”, or

    ii. SMS and Emails PINs has been expired then system displays following error message:

    iii. If “Yes”, system adds the Beneficiary successfully and displays following informatory message:

    11. On successfully adding the Beneficiary:

    a. System redirects the user to “Manage Beneficiary” page.

    b. The added Beneficiary starts appear on the “Manage Beneficiary” page.

    12. Unlimited number of beneficiaries could be added for an IAS Account.

    Aborting the Confirmation Process of Adding Beneficiary

    13. On pressing the “Cancel” button (in Fig: 1.3.2.2) then system aborts the Confirmation process and redirects the user to “Manage Beneficiary” page.

    1.3.2 INTER PARTICIPANT BENEFICIARY:

    a. Reason Code field displays the code is disabled mode e.g. P045,

    b. Participant ID fields appears blank for mandatory input from user through “Participant ID” lookup

    i. Click on icon associated with “Participant ID” field.

    1. From “Lookup” screen:

    a. Participant ID whose status is either Closed or Suspended will not be shown in the lookup

    b. Select a record through associated icon in “Select” column.

    c. On selection, user is redirected to “Add Beneficiary” screen

    d. If user selects his/her own Participant ID from Lookup as Beneficiary then system displays error message:

    a. Selected record is populated on “Participant ID” field of “Add Beneficiary” screen.

    b. After successful selection, system exits the lookup screen and redirects the user back to “Add Beneficiary” screen.

    2. On “Add Beneficiary” page:

    a. Selected Participant ID is displayed in disabled mode, and

    b. Corresponding “Participant Name” is shown adjacent to the field (in case of Inter Participant Beneficiary type only).

    3. On entering of Beneficiary Account Number in “Account Number” field,

    a. On entering of Beneficiary Account Number, system will verify the UINs associated

    with the “From” (Principal) IAS Account with the UINs of “To” (Target) Beneficiary

    1.4 “DELETING BENEFICIARY”

    1. For deleting the “Beneficiary”, user clicks the “Delete Beneficiary” button on “Manage Beneficiary” page

    2. System validates for following scenarios:

    a. User clicks the “Delete Beneficiary” button without selecting any record on the gird then system displays:

    b. After pressing ‘OK’ button system remains on Manage Beneficiary screen.

    c. Single, multiple or all entries in the data grid could be selected for deletion simultaneously then system displays confirmation message:

    d. If “No” button is clicked then the Beneficiary shall not be deleted and the subject entry continue to appear on Manage Beneficiary screen. User remains on the “Manage Beneficiary” page.

    e. If “Yes” button is clicked then the Beneficiary shall be deleted from the grid and following informatory message is shown:

    f. After clicking ‘OK’ button, Deleted Beneficiary becomes invisible in data grid on “Manage Beneficiary” screen.

    1.5 “PLACEMENT OF PORTFOLIO TRANSFER”

    1. For placing “Portfolio Transfer”, the “Manage Portfolio Transfer” page is accessed through:

    a. Online Transaction Tab, or

    b. Icon for “Manage Portfolio Transfer”

    2. Initially, there are no records on the data grid

    3. Click the “Add Portfolio Transfer” Button:

    a. System is redirected to “Add Portfolio Transfer” page.

    4. On “Add Portfolio Transfer” screen select the Beneficiary Participant ID through combo box.

    a. By default, the combo box would display a blank value.

    b. Only those Beneficiaries will be visible in the combo box which:

    i. are already added by the client through the Add Beneficiary functionality, and

    ii. their current CDS Additional status is Active at the time of opening of Add screen

    c. Corresponding “Participant Name” is shown adjacent to the field.

    5. Select the “Beneficiary Account Number” by using combo box.

    a. By default, a blank value will be shown in the combo box.

    b. Only those Accounts will be visible in the combo box which:

    i. are already added by the client through the Add Beneficiary functionality, and

    c. “Account Title” is shown adjacent to the field.

    d. “Reason Code” field displays the value in disabled mode after entering the

    Beneficiary Participant ID and Account Number.

    6. In Transaction Details Panel, select the “Security Symbol” by using lookup.

    a. Click on icon associated with “Security Symbol” field (in Fig: 1.7).

    i. System is redirected to “Security Symbol” Lookup

    7. From “Lookup” screen:

    a. Select a record through associated icon in “Select” column.

    b. On selection, user is redirected to “Add Portfolio Transfer” screen

    8. On “Add Portfolio Transfer” page:

    a. Selected Security Symbol is displayed.

    b. Corresponding “Security Symbol Name” is shown adjacent to the field.

    Available Balance:

    1. Available balance field depicts the selected Security’s Available Balance in CDS. 2. Initially the label displays appears “0”.

    Net Balance:

    1. Net Balance = Available –Saved (balance) 2. Initially the label displays appears “0”. 3. On the basis of selection made for Security symbol, the field displays the Net balance

    in the account. 4. Net Balance must be equal to or less than Available Balance.

    Tariff Deducted:

    1. Transaction Tariff is applicable on each transaction. 2. Tariff is computed and displayed after adding order in portfolio transfer. 3. Transaction Tariff = Volume x Security Price x Rate

    9. Upon selection of a valid security symbol, the Available Balance and the Net Balance shows

    the security balance of a particular security as available in CDS at the time of placement of

    Instruction in disabled mode.

    10. User enters the volume of shares in the “Transaction Volume” field that are required to be

    transfer.

    a. User is allowed to place Portfolio Transfer for quantities that can be fulfilled with available Net balance i.e. Portfolio Transfer could not be placed with quantity that exceeds the “Net Balance” available in the account.

    11. The Remarks field is optional for Transaction.

    Adding an order

    12. User Clicks “Add Order” button then system performs validation checks:

    a. System validates various conditions pertaining entry/selection of valid data and in case of invalid, missing value display appropriate message similar to mentioned below:

    b. Validation on Balance:

    i. If entered “Transaction Volume” is more than “Net Balance” then system displays error message:

    1. On clicking the OK button, user remains on the “Add Portfolio Transfer” page.

    c. After adding an order successfully, the value becomes disabled in both fields

    under Transfer Details panel and the fields under Transaction Details become

    blank or its initial like ‘0’.

    d. Another order has been placed in a single portfolio with same security due to

    which system displays error message:

    e. Under Online Transaction, user will have the option to conduct Portfolio

    Transfer in unlimited security symbols i.e. unlimited number of transactions

    can be added in a single portfolio.

    f. On successfully passing the validation, system adds a single or multiple orders

    with different securities.

    Deleting an Order

    13. User clicks the “Delete Order” button on “Add Portfolio Transfer” page.

    14. System validates for following scenarios:

    Resetting a Portfolio Transfer

    15. User clicks the “Reset” button and system performs the reset confirmation process:

    i. On clicking “Yes” then all the fields under the screen shall be reset to their default values.

    ii. On clicking “No” then reset shall not be executed and the user remains on “Add Portfolio Transfer” screen

    Cancelling a Portfolio Transfer

    16. User clicks the “Cancel” button then system executes the cancel confirmation process:

    i. On clicking “Yes”, system discards the Portfolio Transfer and redirects the user to “Manage Portfolio Transfer” screen.

    ii. On clicking “No”, aborts the discard request and remains on “Add Portfolio Transfer” page.

    Submitting a Portfolio Transfer

    17. User clicks the “Submit Portfolio Transfer” button on “Add Portfolio Transfer” page.

    18. System validates for following scenarios:

    a. If no order is available in the grid or if none is selected and checkbox of Terms

    and conditions is not selected(unchecked) then system displays an error

    e. Portfolio Transfer Status is marked as “Unsuccessful” for IAS accounts with

    “Active –F” status. The record shall appear as displayed in the following figure:

    f. On successful validation, system generates One Time Password “OTP”

    i. The system generated One Time Password (OTP) shall be

    transmitted to investor in the form of SMS PIN and/or Email PIN.

    a) SMS PIN:

    a. OTP is transmitted to the investor through SMS.

    b. The SMS message shall be send on the mobile

    number that the investor has registered at CDS.

    b) Email PIN:

    a. OTP is transmitted to investor through email.

    b. The email shall be sending on the email address

    that the investor has registered at CDS.

    ii. OTP is same in both parts (SMS and Email)

    a. If user enters Invalid SMS/Email PIN, or

    b. SMS/Email PIN has been expired then system displays error message:

    c. After entering a valid SMS/Email PIN in which SMS PIN is received through SMS message on mobile/Email PIN is received on email address, system successfully adds the Portfolio Transfer and redirects the user to “Manage Portfolio Transfer” page with confirmation message:

    Resend Button Operation

    a) On executing the “Resend” function, system re-sends the last generated OTP (SMS PIN and Email PIN) to investor through respective medium (SMS and Email).

    i. Purpose: In case if either or both PINs are not received, user may request resending of last generated SMS & Email PINs through “Resend” option.

    b) The resend option works only once for a generated “OTP”.

    c) On execution of resend option, the “Resend” button becomes disabled thus restricting further transmission of the previously generated (SMS PIN and Email PIN).

    d) If (SMS PIN and Email PIN) not received again then user must have to regenerate/redo the Portfolio Transfer transaction.

    Mobile Number Portability:

    Mobile Number Portability is not supported. SMS PIN shall not be transmitted to Mobile numbers that are ported to other Networks.

    d. After clicking ‘OK’ button, Added Portfolio Transfer becomes visible in data grid on “Manage Portfolio Transfer” Screen.

    e. Transactions that are confirmed after the execution of DTS for the day shall appear on “Manage Portfolio Transfer” screen with “Pending” status.

    f. All such transaction shall be processed on the next working day with latest security price i.e. Security Price as available of the day of processing shall be applicable.

    1.7.1 “PAGINATION”

    1. Standard pagination option shall be on the various pages for browsing through different pages of the record.

    a. For viewing the “First page” user may click the following image.

    b. For viewing the “Previous page” user may click the following image.

    c. For viewing the “Next page” user may click the following image.

    d. For viewing the “Last page” user may click the following image.

    1.7.2 “ENTRIES PER PAGE”

    1. Number of records to be displayed on the data grid portion of the screen at one time could be set through combo located on screen.

    2. By default number of records to be display on a screen is set as “5”.

    1.7.3 “SORTING OPTION”

    1. Sorting option is available on various data gird sections and lookup windows. Through this option user can easily sort out the records in ascending and descending order. For Example, Sort by ID, Sort by Name, Sort by Status, etc.
