Enterprise Scale – IT Cost Takeout Syncplicity’s SaaS-based architecture allows file storage to be consolidated. For example, instead of hundreds of distributed file servers with attached network drives, storage can be consolidated into a few regional locations. Instead of antiquated network attached storage (NAS), Syncplicity StorageVaults can leverage new, much cheaper, software defined object storage.
Syncplicity Data Hub is powerful middleware technology that can be used to migrate, copy and sync extremely large volumes of content, even the petabytes of documents stored on file servers within large enterprises.
Granular Flexible Controls
From the Syncplicity Data Hub console, administrators can set up and schedule jobs to move, copy and/or synchronize files between on-premises or cloud based systems and Syncplicity, while automatically managing naming requirements, security and permission models.
Bandwidth Friendly & Intelligent
Administrators can schedule jobs to run daily, hourly or during a pre-configured change window, such as over weekends, to avoid migrations during business hours. Administrators can easily dial up or dial down to control bandwidth consumption.
Permission Migration
Configure to migrate permissions between disparate access control models while transferring content across storage platforms to preserve equal levels of control for compliance and authenticity requirements.
Reporting
Run pre-migration reports to determine conflicts ahead of time and schedule your migrations during off-hours. Run post migrations reports to complete your audit trail and notify users.
Users can copy, migrate or sync legacy home directories or team shares.
