POWER POINT CONTEST - 6TH GRADE
Contest Dates: November 13, 2017 thru January 16, 2018. Contest Procedure: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners will be awarded to each school. All first-place grade winners will compete for District first-place County winner and will be eligible to enter the Area contest. Each Area first-place winner will be eligible to enter the State contest. All prizes will be awarded in Spring 2018 at Annual District Awards Program. Date to be announced to winners & schools.
All submissions entered into District sponsored competitions become the property of the respective District. These entities are entitled to use these entries for promotion of the Conservation District contests.
Specifications: Power points should be designed along the following specifications: See Power Point Tips on our FB page! • The first slide should reflect the contest theme “WATER…THE CYCLE OF LIFE”. • The power point shall contain no more than 15 slides of content. Fewer slides are allowed. • The slide immediately following the last information slide (slide number 16 if 15 slides are used) should be blank. The slide immediately following the blank slide (slide number 17 if 15 slides are used) should contain identifying information (see below). The correct order for the slide show should be:

• Power points must be created using Microsoft PowerPoint software or they must be viewable as a power point on a PC computer. (Files shall be saved so that they are compatible with PowerPoint 2003 -ppt file. Do not save as a pptx file.) • The use of audio (sound) is allowed. • The use of slide animation is allowed. • The use of video is prohibited. Power points using video will be disqualified. • Presentation shall not exceed a maximum of 5 minutes in length. • The power points must be submitted electronically to [email protected] • All power points will be judged electronically. • Power points must be the original work of the individual student. Original work is created by the student and shows a
fresh, new idea. Students should be made aware of copyright protection. No copyrighted images allowed.
Entry Forms MUST be completed FULLY and LEDGIBLY using the following format on the LAST slide. Winners will be notified at
school and thru mail. Personal contact information will only be used in the event there are questions concerning an entry
