About enteliWEB Licenses

On-Premises enteliWEB licenses An enteliWEB on-premises solution license allows you to scale enteliWEB from small to enterprise level projects, with many options to tailor the installation to the owner’s needs, and to upsell options such as energy management in the future.

The structure of enteliWEB builds a foundation for the future which allows:

• Ability to increase I/O points as sites grow

• Energy management add-ons to fit more market segments

• Modular add-ons to allow you to buy only what you need

• Online ordering of enteliWEB licenses

• Online license management for subscription renewals and upgrades

We’ve reduced confusion by making features such as enteliWEB Energy Management and multisite support the same for every edition.

A purchased enteliWEB license includes a warranty period of 1 year during which all updates and upgrades are free of charge. After the first year, an annual fee of 12% of the current purchase price is required to receive future software updates and upgrades.

Software Maintenance Subscriptions and Updates This chapter only applies to enteliWEB on-premises solutions. For information about enteliCLOUD monthly subscriptions, see enteliCLOUD Subscriptions.

An enteliWEB on-premises solution license includes a warranty period of 1 year during which all updates and upgrades are free of charge. After the first year, an annual fee of 12% of the current purchase price is required to receive future software updates and upgrades.

• The fee is calculated from the current price, at the time of renewal, for the edition and add-on IO point packs. The enteliVIZ, enteliWEB API and Offline Virtual Machine add-ons do not add to the fee.

• If the maintenance option is not taken, a payment of 15% of net is required to bring the software up to the latest revision.

For a complete guide to ordering enteliWEB software maintenance subscriptions, log on to the License Management Portal and click the help button.

What Does the Software Maintenance Subscription Provide? • New builds or updates for the current enteliWEB version. A build is like a service pack. It

includes an installer that ensures proper installation of the build.

• Patches for current enteliWEB version. A patch is not a build and no installer is supplied. The patch file must be added manually to the proper location on the server.

• Version upgrades to a newer enteliWEB versions. A version upgrade is a new build that also supplies a new version, such as from version 4.9 to version 4.11.

What Happens When the Software Maintenance Subscription Expires?

Customer Site License • You will not be able to install new builds of the current version.

• You will not be able to install upgrades to a newer version.

• You will be able to add patches for current version.

• Otherwise, enteliWEB continues to work as normal. If your client is happy with the feature set and functionality at the time of expiry, then it is a perfectly valid option to not purchase the subscription renewal. However, it is highly recommended that your client renews the subscription, as that allow access to new builds of the current version and to upgrades to a newer version.

Page 10: enteliWEB Licensing and Subscription Guide

Page 9 of 20 enteliWEB Licensing and Subscription Guide Document Edition 2.0

Tech License The eWTech license works differently than a customer site license. See Tech License in the next section for details.

Access Dashboard Add-On O3 Access dashboards and other O3 Access features continue to work as normal as long as the number of doors does not exceed the maximum number allowed by the enteliWEB license. If this limit is exceeded, the O3 Access dashboards, widgets and report will not be available for use.

The Multi-tenant Dashboard option unlocks multitenant functionality in the O3 Access dashboard.

Vivotek Surveillance Add-On Vivotek Surveillance features continue to work as normal as long as the number of cameras does not exceed the maximum number allowed by the enteliWEB license. If this limit is exceeded, the cameras will stop displaying live video in enteliWEB.

How Software Maintenance Subscription Renewals Work

Customer Site License • First year subscription is included in the purchase of enteliWEB

• The subscription expires 1 year after the license is activated or 1 year after the last subscription renewal.

• To renew, purchase the eWEB-XXX-Sub option

• There is a grace period of 1 year after the subscription expires during which you can purchase the eWEB-XXX-Sub option. The grace period means we don’t penalize our customers for being a day or a month late in their purchase.

• If the subscription has been expired for more than 1 year, you need to purchase the eWEB-XXX-Updt option

Page 11: enteliWEB Licensing and Subscription Guide

Page 10 of 20 enteliWEB Licensing and Subscription Guide Document Edition 2.0

Tech License • An enteliWEB Tech license is subject to an annual maintenance fee for continued use.

• enteliWEB Tech licenses are issued free of charge to training students and are subject to 12% annual fee of the current purchase price.

• If the subscription has been expired for more than 1 year, you need to purchase the eWEB-XXX-Updt option to enable your enteliWEB Tech.

Trial License An enteliWEB Trial license is free of charge and is valid for 30 days. At the end of 30 days, the license expires. A new Trial license or a permanent site license must be ordered to resume operation.

What Happens When the I/O Count Exceeds the I/O Limit? When I/O Count exceeds the I/O limit that is imposed by the enteliWEB license, enteliWEB blocks requests to the devices for object values. enteliWEB blocks the requests after a 30-day grace period from when it first detects that the I/O limit has been exceeded.

Page 12: enteliWEB Licensing and Subscription Guide

Page 11 of 20 enteliWEB Licensing and Subscription Guide Document Edition 2.0

When enteliWEB detects that the I/O count exceeds the I/O limit, it displays a warning message as a banner with a red-colored background. The warning message is displayed for all users. The warning message is displayed until the I/O count no longer exceeds the I/O limit.

What Happens When the Door Count Exceeds the Access Doors Limit? The Access Dashboard license add-on limits the number of access doors (represented by ACD objects) you can create in enteliWEB.

The first time the number of ACD objects is exceeded, a 30-day grace period is triggered. During this time, enteliWEB displays a warning banner with an orange background on the Access Users, Access Roles and Access Doors dashboards on the left pane Access Control section. Warnings are also displayed when you open the O3 Access Report and access widgets.

To resolve the issue, reduce the number of ACD objects or contact your Delta partner to add more doors to your enteliWEB license.

If no action is taken and the grace period expires, the access dashboards, widgets and report will not be available for use.

All enteliWEB on-premises solution licenses support up to 5 doors. For additional doors, purchase an Access Dashboard license add-on that supports the extra number of doors you need.

What Happens When the Camera Count Exceeds the Camera Limit? The Vivotek Surveillance license add-on limits the number of VIVOTEK cameras that you can view and interact with in enteliWEB.

The first time the camera limit is exceeded, a 30-day grace period is triggered. During this time, enteliWEB displays a warning message when you click on a camera.

To resolve the issue, reduce the number of cameras or contact your Delta partner to add more cameras to your enteliWEB license.

If no action is taken and the grace period expires, the cameras will stop displaying live video in enteliWEB.

enteliCLOUD Subscriptions An enteliCLOUD subscription gives you the same flexibility as an on-premises enteliWEB solution without the extra costs of servers, upgrades and maintenance. Other benefits include:

• Ability to increase I/O points as sites grow

• Energy management, API, Access Dashboard and Vivotek Surveillance add-ons

The enteliCLOUD subscription fee for each cloud instance is based on these factors:

• The current price for the enteliCLOUD service

• The total number of sites sharing the instance, and the total I/O points per site

• Addition of one or more add-ons. The enteliVIZ add-on is a standard module included on all subscriptions.

Note: A single cloud instance can support multiple sites, but any add-ons selected for that instance is applied to all sites that share the same cloud instance.

What Does the enteliCLOUD Subscription Provide? • New builds or updates when they become available

• Patches for current enteliCLOUD version

• Version upgrades to newer enteliCLOUD versions

All builds, updates, patches and upgrades are applied automatically to the cloud server.

Tables 5 and 6 list the various enteliCLOUD flavors, as well as the pricing model for the optional add-on modules. The subscription names are displayed on the monthly invoices.

Delta Controls will invoice for all active enteliCLOUD instances automatically every month.
