Polycel® Porous Ultra High Molecular-Weight Polyethylene

• Porous polyethylene material is well-tolerated in middle ear applications • Porous surface permits tissue ingrowth that stabilizes implant and provides secure reconstruction • Clinical history in middle ear reconstruction is well-documented • Polycel is easy to configure with a knife or scissors

Hydroxylapatite

• Dense hydroxylapatite (calcium phosphate ceramic) closely resembles natural bone • Biocompatible, non-organic alternative to homographs • Stabilized H/A implants provide excellent sound conduction and resist degradation • Sculpting and shaping is performed with a diamond bur under irrigation

H/A-Coated Polycel

• Combines the best features of Polycel and hydroxylapatite by providing a coating of H/A on targeted areas of the prosthesis • Implant is easily tailored and lightweight, with H/A located where bone or tissue interfaces are desired
