Ensuring Quality in Health Professional Educaon SMC CME / CNE / CPE accreditation are being finalised Course Descripon Quality assurance and accreditation is important to assure that institutions and programmes meet threshold expectations of quality using a set of standards and improve education quality over time. Some common practices in quality assurance and accreditation includes a self-review by the institution or programme against the standards, an on- site visit by an evaluation team of peer experts and a subsequent review and decision by the accrediting body about accredited status. Hence, this workshop will cover the following: Quality Maintenance Quality Assurance Continuous Quality Improvement Accreditation At the end of the workshop, participants should be able to: Apply the basic principles of quality maintenance at programme level Discuss and apply principles of continuous quality improvement at Institutional level Apply principles of quality assurance and accreditation in health professional education to ones own learning environment Evaluate challenges, limitations and ways forward for Cancellations received on or before 2 Aug 2020: Full refund (less off $50 admin fee). Cancellations received between 3 Aug - 3 Sep 2020: Refund of 50% of the workshop fee. Cancellations received between 4 Sep - 2 Oct 2020: No refund. Any cancellation or replacement must be conveyed in writing to the organiser. Registration can be only confirmed upon full payment.
