Enrolling in a Blackboard Community—Human Subjects Commi ee 

Your first step is to Log in to UCM’s Blackboard interface. 

 

Then click on the My Community tab at the top right. 

You will see a link to the 

catalog of Communi es 

that are available for 

your enrollment. 

The interface allows you to search for available Communi es with the in-

forma on that you know, such as the ID, name, descrip on, leader name 

or term, for instance. Be sure to click on “GO” to execute your search. 

When you see the Community you would 

like to join hover over the name of the 

Community and a > will display, click on it 

and you will see an Enroll link. As the sys-

tem knows who you are via your login in-

forma on, you don’t have to enter that. 

Accept your enrollment in that 

Blackboard Community by clicking 

on the Submit bu on on the  

Self Enrollment screen. 

Successful enrollment takes you right into that  

Community. 

 

 

You will see access to the Community in  

subsequent  Blackboard sessions by clicking on your  

My Community tab under My Organiza ons.
