• If you purchase an annual permit, you are entitled to fish with 10 tip-ups.

• The minimum retention length for zander is 50 cm.

• The minimum retention length for eel is 70 cm.

• Fishing for zander is prohibited during the breeding season, i.e. weeks 23, 24 and 25.

• Fishing without a permit and illegal fishing will result in prosecution. The penalty for breach of the current fishing regulations is SEK 1,000.

• Boats may be hired for one day at a time.

• You are permitted to use your own outboard engine, max. 5 hp.

• Boats must be returned no later than midnight.

• Keys for the boats are kept in the key cabinet beside the permit machine. Please return the keys when you are finished with the boat.

GeneralLakes Torpasjön and Yttre Åsunden lie in an area of unspoiled natural beauty with high level of biodiversity and a rich cultural heritage. This makes it particularly important that you respect the relevant rules and regula-tions.

Unrestricted fishingFishing from the shore with a pole does not require a per-mit. Children under 15 years old may fish with rod and line or handline free of charge.

Permits and boat hireA one-day permit can be purchased online or from the machine at the Hofsnäs car park. Remember that the SEK 10 you pay in the machine counts towards the fee. An annual permit is available online or at any of our sales outlets. There are 5 boats for hire on Lake Torpasjön (Nos 1-5) and 10 boats on Yttre Åsunden (Nos 6-10).

Regulations for fishing and boat hire• The permit is personal and is not transferable.

• The permit is valid for fishing in parts of Lakes Tor-pasjön and Yttre Åsunden within the marked area. The area is marked on the map in the brochure and by buoys on the lakes.

• A permit is valid for one rod per person.

• No more than one lure, one hook with bait or three flies may be attached to the line.

Fishing in Lakes Torpasjön and Yttre Åsunden

The Yttre Åsunden – Torpasjön fishery conservation area was established in 1989. Lake Torpasjön Fishery Conservation Association, founded in 1930, is part of the fishery conservation area. The City of Borås is the largest owner of fishing rights in the Association, and provides access to the Association’s water for the general public. The City’s ambition is to offer attractive and varied fishing across a range of lakes and waterways.
