— How long have you been working in your profession?

—When did you start using health realization in your practice?

— Can you explain briefly what health realization is about?

Interview with Dean Pearson, my father, regarding Health Realization.

I’ve been at Twin Town for 34 years and been a drug counselor since September of 1974.

Its based on three principals — universal mind, universal consciousness, and univer-sal thought you could say divine but I use universal. The premise is that every human being has health and wellness in them that is accessible to them we all have internal resilience, health, wisdom, serenity you can use different words the key is recogniz-ing that were always thinking, that we do think and its not the content but that we do think, we create our reality moment to mo-ment with our thoughts.

— So once you become aware of this you can be more mindful?

— Does this relate to creativity?

Yes and recognizing that its just thought, and not to take your thoughts that seri-ous. We scare ourselves with our think-ing. We judge our thoughts right or wrong, good or bad, when in reality they are just comfortable or uncomfortable, its not the thought that gets us in trouble its what we do with it. It’s the action we take with it, or the power that we give to it — so we don’t need to empower our thoughts we don’t need to make them a big deal.

All creativity comes from thought. For you to be creative as an artist that all comes from thought. The more you are in the moment and mindful the more productive, creative. When you’re on it just flows but when you are out of your health you get what’s referred to as artist block.

— What does it mean to be in your health?

— Do you believe that typography messages can have an impact on people for good or bad?

It’s being in a place where you take life on life’s term and it doesn’t knock you off your square, its a serenity, a good feel-ing. Being present in the moment.

It can illicit a response. People react to them either having a positive or negative feelings. They could also be indifferent. It depends, but they can act as reminders — reminding people of their innate health. We all have health, you see it in kids they live in the moment all the time. That’s what you’re striving towards. What you’ve discovered is the creativity of words, they’re powerful because of the thought connected with the word, like relax, five letters, and its so powerful. It’s used in ad-vertising all the time to illicit a response.

— Do you think that focusing on positive messages can help create the sense of health?

— So it functions as a reminder?

Yes, but its also naturally occurring thing.

It reminds you to be in the moment. Reminds you of the principles. When you practice what you preach it becomes a program of attraction — wow he doesn’t stay angry very long, or he seems happy all the time, people will naturally gravitate towards someone living the principles or living in their health, their good feeling.

— People may think this is a new age idea, where does this theory come from?

— Do you believe there is a tone of negativity in the information we take in everyday?

(Laughs) It’s not a theory, its principles and those are truths that cant be dis-puted, its been around for thousands of years its the whole philosophy of looking inwards for answers. We normally look externally for answers but the answers we seek are with in. It’s based on Buddhism, its founded in Buddhism but it isn’t a re-ligion. Just like gravity its always existed and then Issac Newton discovered the principle and named it. Did gravity exist before Isaac Newton? — of course it did.

In our culture we tend to focus on the negative. By focusing on the negative we encourage the negative. Yes we sensa-tionalize negativity because it sells.

Mind — The universal energy that animates all of life, the source of innate health and well-being.

Consciousness — The ability to be aware of one’s life.

Thought — the power to think and thereby to create one’s ex-perience of reality.

THREE PRINCIPLES OF

HEALTH REALIZATION

People experience their reality and their cir-cumstances through the constant filter of their thoughts. Consciousness makes that filtered reality seem “the way it really is.” People react to it as if this were true. But, when their thinking changes, reality seems different and their reac-tions change. Thus, according to Health Realiza-tion, people are constantly creating their own experience of reality via their thinking.
