The SilverFox* Integrated Molecular DNA testing system takes care of the patient sample transfer, prep amplification, and detection phases of DNA testing, with minimal user intervention.

Patient SampleTransfer

The Patient Sample Rack is prepared on the bench and then placed in the instrument. MGM Transfer does the rest.

Each Patient Sample Tube is picked up and its’ barcode and position is read and stored in system memory.

The reaction tube rack with patient samples is then ready for sample prep using the SilverFox.

Patient samples are pipetted from the barcoded patient sample tubes into the barcoded 100-tube reaction tube rack. DripGuard prevents any cross-contamination.

MGM Transfer automatically transfers large, and small, patient samples, from primary sample tubes to sample test tubes.

Streamline your workflow and your results

The MGM SilverFox automates the sample preparation phase for PCR, TMA, or any isothermal amplification, from start to finish with minimal handling. This walk-away technology is the workhorse of our Molecular DNA testing solution.

The barcoded 100-tube rack is placed in the SilverFox and a test protocol is chosen. Tecan-style pipette tips dispense programmed reagents.

Two onboard injection systems dispense larger volume reagents from bottles located on the moving head. Isothermal incubation, and PCR cycling, can be programmed into the protocol. No need to switch plates between sample prep and PCR!

Waste tips and fluids are contained in two easily removable baskets .

Magnetic separation and wash can be performed , with or without a vortexing step.
