Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), DC Drives, and Servos are investments. Effectively deploying a new drive and keeping it running at tip-top capacity is integral to maximizing uptime, efficiency and minimizing machinery wear and tear. Services are performed by B&D Technologies’ exceptional Applications Engineering Group, an industry-leading team that specializes in all things motor control. This skilled group is proficient with commissioning and troubleshooting even the most complex system challenges. Expertise, knowledge and boots-on-the-ground involvement are the cornerstone of our in-house engineers, specialists and dedicated partners.
Service Includes: ` Inspection of direct and ancillary devices to reduce the
Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) and improve the Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). MTTR is the average time it takes for a process to recover from a failure. MTBF is the average time between failures of a system during operation. An efficient and optimized system minimizes MTTR and increases MTBF.
` Inspection of safety interface and design ` Factory specific commissioning ` Advanced tuning and responsiveness testing ` Thermographic inspection ` Detailed report including the standard factory required
commissioning documentation, installation and thermographic photos, pertinent notes and schematic changes, recommendations to reduce MTTR and improve MTBF, and a copy of the operator’s manual
` Archiving the programs and documentation on B&D cloud servers for 10 years
` Additional warranty based on the results of the commissioning for some models

B&D has always gone above and beyond the minimum requirements for commissioning. Unfortunately, the industry is plagued with distributors and integrators that only comply with the manufacturers’ bare minimum requirements. Often, we see this when we come into a plant to inspect a premature failure and then must void the warranty based on a poor installation or incomplete design. It’s never pleasant to tell a customer that we can resolve the issue, but they will have to pay full price for recovery when a few extra design details could have changed everything.
