Understanding

This document explains the information about Enhanced Ajax Autocomplete Search Magento

Extension. The main function of this extension is that it allows your customers to search exactly

what they are looking for on your store. When a customer enter the first several letters of any

product on your store’s search box, a list of similar products with images will be generated.

Features

The installation of the extension is very simple.

The extension is compatible with multiple browsers.

The extensions do not cause any effect on Magento default search boxes.

The extension allows searching according to the categories.

Steps to be taken for Installation

>>Step-1. Login with your Magento admin.

>>Step-2. Go to system -> Magento Connect -> Magento Connect Manager

>>Step- 3. Login with Magento Connect Manager (with your Magento admin credentials)

>>Step-4. Upload package file (purchased file) in direct package file upload section and click on upload.

>>Step-5. Return to Magento admin and clear cache from System -> Cache Management

>>Step-6. Logout from Magento admin and re-login.

How to Enable/Disable Enhanced Auto Complete Search? >>Step-1. Go to System -> Configuration -> Select Autocomplete Search

>>Step-2. Select Yes to Enable AutoComplete Search to Enable this Extension.

Other Key Features of the Extension:

1. Show Category Filter Combobox:

This feature adds a category filter in the search box which allows the customers to search the

product in a particular category. For example, if a customer is searching a shoe name he/she

can select Footwear Category to search the product.

2. Maximum number of products to show:

With this admin can adjust the total number of the products to be shown in search results when

a user searches for a query.

3. Search attributes:

With this feature customers can search the products according to the attributes like Name,

Description, SKU codes, Price and many other attributes.
