Take Down
The fighters,At the starting line.
They begin with a bang,With soaring spirits
And run as if they are chased. They stop and rest,
Drinking the blood of the enemy. With loathing looks,
They must take down the opponent.Dripping with despair,They push their bodies.
Numbers dwindle,Injury after injury after injury.
Heavy breathing,Panting,
Gulping for life.The line,
Comes closer,The bodies,
Grow weaker.Letting no one,Destroy them.
Few finish,Grasping for air.
Run the race,They say.
Destroy the competitionThey murmur.Let no one....They whisper,
And shut their eyes.
