The Rector of the Gnesinyh Russian Academy of Music welcomed the participants and organizers of the 7th International Competition of electronic accordion and Roland V-accordion festival. Through decades the Russian Academy of Music has become a leading educational institution in Russia and abroad in the field of bayan - accordion performance. Teaching staff and management of the Academy makes every effort for the most effective development of students - performers, expanding and modernizing curricula, creating new job programs, covering the most advanced branches of musical art. Possession of electronic instruments is an integral part of the education of modern musicians. In 2013, in the Academy, for the first time in Russia, as part of a new academic discipline of "innovative technology" Accordionists learn the ins and outs of playing electronic accordion and acoustic accordion. We are pleased that the Roland company is involved in this educational process. Since the beginning students and alumni of Gnesinyh have become winners of the Russian national stage of Roland V-accordion festival. In 2013 the final audition of the Russian stage took place in the Concert Hall of the Gnesinyh Academy of Music. We are confident that the use of electronic accordion and acoustic accordion expands the skills of modern accordionists, accordion players and has a positive impact on the popularity as well as on the demand for this profession, which consequently means an increase in the number of students in music schools, colleges and institutes of higher education. We wish the participants of the Roland V-accordion world finals successful performances and new discoveries in the field of electronic musical instruments.
