The town, founded in 1800, has developed into a resort and is characterized for its wide tree-lined avenues and pedestrian boulevards. Victorian architecture is complemented by beautiful gardens and interesting shops and warehouses, located in the lively and cosmopolitan streets. The town centre is surrounded by beautiful gardens and just a few minutes away you will find one of Britain‘s cleanest and most popular sandy beaches.

Learn English differently!!!

This program is specifically designed for students to develop the most of their linguistic and communicative competence through interaction and learning in small groups of 5.

Programme Description We combine English course of 15 hours weekly studying grammar, listening, reading and oral skills, with 15 hours per week of cultural activities in the afternoon, which include project work and also have lessons specifically designed to prepare students for their day trips. This encourages them to put learning into practice in a creative & real life situation providing proficient learning at all levels for different age groups with a full program of sports, cultural activities & excursions. This enables to build up knowledge and confidence in international atmosphere. Our team has been carefully selected for their responsible, caring attitude for being fun-loving and outgoing.

All courses follow the European Framework of Reference from Lower Intermediate to Advanced. Teaching material and certificate provided.

Lessons The lessons will be provided at the teacher house Monday to Friday 9.00am to 12.00. There will be no more than 5 students per group. Generally, these students have varying native languages and are of similar age.

Teachers All our teachers are qualified, with either a TEFL qualification or a teaching qualification (PGCE Primary/PGCE Secondary for Modern Languages).

guest; Allow access to all communal areas of the home; Provide at least one laundry service per week; Encourage your child the student to speak English as much

as possible in the home; Ensure the welfare of the child; Help with travel and transport.

Our families offer the best possible care that enable the student to make the most of the life in the UK. They are interviewed by us and the accommodation offer is inspected to make sure they can provide the students with the best quality accommodation possible. We make sure that the family environment is safe and the domestic conditions are of a very high standard. We also confirm the guidelines of the Children Act 1989 to ensure that your child is safe.

Host family will welcome your child into their home and provide a good family atmosphere. They will provide breakfast and a meal in the evening. They will also try to make your child a part of their family by taking them on day trips and involving them in family activities. Our families come from different backgrounds and represent a cross-section of ethnic and cultural groups within Britain. Many of our host families have years of experience in hosting students.

What the Host Family Expects From Your Child Respect for the family home and the house & family

rules; Keeping the family informed in case of late arrival home; Acting respectfully towards the host family.

Activities The teacher will be responsible to run the afternoon cultural visits or sport activities daily from 2.00pm–5.00pm, adapting the activities to the common interests you have. There will be a full day excursion per week, accompanied by your leader, immersing in the culture of your host country. On Sundays you can have the day off with your family to make you feel like a member of it.

Typical Day There will be a maximum of 5 students per group + 1 English teacher. Each student will travel to the teacher’s house where classes will be held on a daily basis during their stay. Once classes finish they will have a break for lunch with the teacher and then will move onto the afternoon activities until 5.00pm. At this time each student can then go home to their host family and spend the evening with them to continue with English Language Immersion. On the weekend there will be a one full day trip to London, Oxford and Portsmouth to get to know these famous cities closest to Bournemouth. They will be accompanied by tour guides from the travel company. Sundays is again family time to make the best of their English stay.


Sample afternoon activities

The school organizes an extensive program of sports activities, cultural, leisure, excursions such as:

Visits to museums, Russell Cotes Museum; Shopping, movies, Karaoke; International sports; At night: international parties, barbecues, etc.; Kayaking, sailing body board, surfing, etc.; Bowling; Cooking Workshops, Pantomime Theatre; Cinema; Laser Quest, Mini golf and Light Disco.

Optional Activities & Excursions

Transfer Students will be picked up at the arrival airport and transferred to Bournemouth, where host families will be waiting for them.

Sample Activity Programme

Sample Full Day Excursions: London, Oxford, Bath, Hever Castle (JOUSTING show), Portsmouth (HMS Victory) and Windsor including tour of Harry Potter Studio.

Sample Half Day Excursions: Poole Harbour & Sandbanks, Christchurch Priory, Highcliffe Castle, Jurassic Coast, Corfe Castle, Swanage, Durdle Door, Old Harry Rock, Salisbury Cathedral & Stonehenge.
