More about HK Kidz
Founded in 1985, and a pioneer in Hong Kong in the field of teaching foreign languages to children, including
very young children, at HK Kidz we have earned a reputation for our first class service and high quality tuition.
We only employ qualified, experienced native teachers.
Our Methodology
It has long been recognised that children make more rapid progress in their studies when they enjoy what they
are doing, and our English language courses for young learners have been devised with this in mind.
Each of our courses has been carefully planned to draw on children’s inherent learning skills and capacities,
and to provide continued opportunities for them to explore, create, and experience the world around them
whilst learning English.
Our activity-based learning approach means that children are presented with a wide variety of age-appropriate
activities, designed to bring the English language to life, cultivate creativity, encourage interaction, build
confidence, and effortlessly develop effective communicative language. Each lesson is designed to be
pertinent to the children’s needs, as well as interesting, varied, lively and fun.
Tuition is provided in an exclusively English environment so that the children are immersed in English from the
moment they step into the classroom.
Our teaching method involves interactive child-centred learning. All our courses are oral and conversation-
based, and use specifically designed books, tailor-made supplementary materials, and specially selected
resources.
Fun activities, songs, stories, puppets, pretend-play toys, language development games, audio visual aids and
multimedia tools also form an integral part of our programme. Applied in the appropriate context, these tools
provide an excellent medium through which the children can reuse and consolidate what they have already
learnt, and further develop their comprehension and communication skills.
Young children learn to communicate by listening and speaking, so we place an emphasis on the spoken language, and encourage children to participate and become actively involved in each lesson.

Toddlers are terrific learners, with an amazing amount of energy and an eagerness for new
challenges and experiences. This is a dynamic, fun-filled, theme-based programme where little ones
develop both language and cognitive skills through listening, observing, exploring, doing and
experiencing.
During this course, your child will:
learn in a playful environment: through a series of exciting interactive activities; rhymes; songs;
stories; puppets; language development games; TPR; pretend-play; and arts & crafts, to engage
his/her mind and spirit.
be actively involved: through interactive play and physical involvement, to encourage social
interaction and make learning fun.
develop English language skills naturally and spontaneously: through repeated exposure, your
child will soon increase his/her vocabulary and ability to express himself/herself in the language.
Our lessons are divided into themes with many different activities relating to each theme.
For example if the theme is fruit, then all the activities, songs, games, etc. will revolve around fruit,

Classes offer structured age-appropriate activities based on the latest research in child neuro-physiological
development.
During this course, your child will:
Develop physical awareness: becoming more aware of their body as they grow is a crucial
component of movement development in children. Through fun activities and games which
emphasise identifying body parts and how they work, your child will learn how to move his/her body
in different physical situations and develop better body awareness.
Enhance his/her gross motor skills and develop balance: by playing fun games that include
specific actions and movements, your child will develop flexibility, agility, endurance, muscle strength
and gain greater bodily control.
Develop a love of physical activity and a sense of pride in his/her achievements: by crawling,
sliding, jumping/landing, rolling, climbing... in a nurturing environment where he/she feels physically
and mentally secure, your child will develop physical agility while having lots of fun. As his/her
natural abilities grow, he/she will become more confident and enjoy it more and more.
Develop spatial awareness, orientation and coordination, including hand/foot and eye
coordination: through movement and exploration your child will develop spatial concepts such as a
sense of distance, location of an object ...
Develop social interaction: by singing, dancing and moving; enjoying group games and other fun
activities with his/her classmates, your child will learn to do things with others and make new friends.
