Are structures composed of several types of tissue.

• The Medical term for internal organs is viscera.

Ex: Abdominal viscera. (Liver, stomack, intestine, pancreas, sleen, and gallbladder).

Systems

Are groups of organs working together to perform complex functions.

Example: Digestive System (the mouth,esophagus,

stomach, small and large intestine). 1. Work to digest food and absorb it into

the bloodstream.
