We’ve been doing a number of consonant blends this month. Consonant blends have a

sound combination that is heard upon reading the word.

We played musical chair using drum beats and bongos so the children can enjoy the rhythm and somehow follow the beats to prepare them for future lessons.

For 4 and up Drum ClassWe continue to practice the exercises and the children

are still challenged by these! Our primary goal is to master the 7 exercises to be able to proceed to more

difficult patterns. We also do ball exercises to follow the beats based on the speed of the bounce. Photos to

Using crayons and pencils, we colored in pets. In lieu of Children’s Day we also drew pictures of boys and girls.

We had fun this month. We started off using water colors and wax crayons! The children get to use small paint brushes too! We made cards for Mother’s Day and also painted landscapes.
