Bell-Ringer. Welcome! I hope that you’re having a good Monday. For your bell-ringer today, tell me a little bit about how yourself, and then review the Elements of Fiction.
1. What is something that you are afraid of? Setting. Today we’ll be reviewing the Elements of Fiction. Then, we will read a short story by Hernando Téllez titled “Lather and Nothing Else.” In this story, we will first be identifying setting and plot, and then we will analyze conflict, character, point of view, and theme. Let’s focus on setting first.
