The our-day Engineering Expo at Chennai was ocially agged o

on 8th December 2011, with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony.

The inauguration unction was graced by the presence o eminentdignitaries like S Raj, Regional Director Indo-German Chamber o

Commerce; Dominic Savio, Head o Thermal Business Unit o Valeo;

Sudhanva Jategaonkar, Associate Vice President B2B Publishing,

Inomedia 18 and T Murrali, Editor Auto Monitor and AterMarket.

During the event, Engineering Expo Chennai exhibitor directory was

also released.

Trade shows offer a platform for networking and exchanging technologies andhelp form joint ventures and technical collaborations. Engineering Expo Chennai

is an amazing show and we need more such shows to display our strength,

particularly in Tamil Nadu - the manufacturing and engineering hub.

ReachInG a new LeveLEngineering Expo organised by Inomedia 18 Ltd acted as a key enabler in propelling the growth o the manuacturing and

service sectors in the state. Engineering Expo Chennai scheduled rom December 8 -11, 2011, proved to be an ideal platorm

or companies in various manuacturing sectors to showcase their product strength. It extends its purpose to both buyers and

sellers o engineering products. On one side, where the sellers can cater to a large potential client group, even the buyers get

to be aware o the latest technological changes, which in turn help them choose the best products.

The 4th edition o Engineering Expo Chennai 2011 showcased the best in terms o engineering innovations and technologies

and served as a conducive platorm in amalgamating the capabilities o the state with specifc needs o the industries. With

a strong base in MSME, this exhibition oers a unique advantage by not only providing new opportunities or enhancing the

business, but also or augmenting the existing process with cost-eective technologies.

Being an all-inclusive engineering show, the event provided an opportunity to exhibitors rom various sectors to spread

awareness about their products and services. There were total 5,000+ products displayed rom dierent industries. The

exhibitors received an overwhelming response and generated around 12,692 leads having the potential to generate into

revenue. This year the trade show has managed to generate business transactions worth Rs. 41.98 cr.

categories participating in their

show. Participating in this show

was a wonderful experience as

we got more than 200 enquiries

during the entire exhibition. These

enquiries will help us convert them

into business. I was satised with

the hospitality of Infomedia 18

Ltd. In the next exhibition, we are

looking for a larger stall. In almost

four days I gained business worthalmost 80 lakh.
