1- District Cooling Plants:WHY DCP?

In the last decades, the industrial and services sectors are rapidly expanding through building new industrial cities, new airports, new services facilities, new towers and compounds districts.

The demands for water, power, and cooling are also increased to match the requirements.

District Cooling Plant is a solution to cover the increasing demand on cooling with less power consumption compared with the traditional A/Cs, reached up to 30% of power saving compared with the normal A/Cs system.

Besides, District Energy Plants are centralizing the operation and maintenance works which will decrease the logistics and operational cost.

- Provide business assessment with feasibility study for district cooling plants medium size.- Design, Supply & Build.

2- Energy Transfer Stations:

ETS will enhance the performance of DCP and will protect the chillers loop by providing two different circuits. Design a proper control for ETS will enhance the system efficiencyandtransfertherequiredenergy.

Byinstallingaflowcontrolvalve(temperaturecontrolled),theflowthroughETScan be controlled based on the return line temperature going to the plant or the return temperature at the secondary side coming from the served building.

Installing differential pressure transmitter across the chilled water supply and returnlineofETSwillhelptocontroltheflowofsecondarypumpsinstalledinthe district cooling plant. In case of having many ETS rooms for one centralized DCP, the secondary pumps will be controlled based on the lowest ETS DP.

Such synchronization between ETS’s and DCP will guarantee the heat transfer efficiencyandDCPperformance.

Many service providers request to measure the heat transfer value for different purposes.FLUCONcanprovideafullPLCsolutionwithBTUmeterandflowmeasuring devices to calculate and report the actual heat transfer to main DCP.

The Schematic diagram below represents an example of an advanced solution for domestic water & central heating production. Hot water is produced by the solar system which is integrated with the Electrical heater for non sunny periods. Our Solar System are supplied with a Standard controller which will run the Solar side circulation pump based on temperature difference and will operate the Back up Electrical heater if the solar heating is note adequate.

Why solar?

The Solar Hot Water system is now a mature technology. The benefitsofchoosingtoinstallasolarhotwatersystemaresignificantwhen viewed through a long-term.It’s Environmental Friendly and can reduce asignificantportionoftheconventionalenergybeingusedforheatingwaterinResidential Complexes, Hotels, Hospitals and Industrial Facilities.

It is a great investment with the increase in gas and electricity prices, giving you more incentive to make the initial investment.

How Works?

Solar Hot Water System collects energy from the sun in thermal collectors. Hot waterisproducedandheatedwaterinathermalstoragetankorcalorifierwithan optionally integrated backup heater for non-sunny periods.

Despite the designed smart solutions and the high quality construction work, the plant will not get the maximum output results (or even failure in operation sometimes) if the plant was not pre-commissioned well.

Pre-Commissioning is a series of activities to test and verify the readiness of integrated systems to perform as per the design.
