22If you wish to take control ata different control station,PRESS & RELEASE theTAKE button one time at the
station where you want to take control.The TAKE (or ACTIVE) light will blinkquickly and a beeping sound will beheard.
33At system startup theengines gear will be imme-diately placed in WARMmode (pg 5). Press and
Release WARM button one time toregain control of engine gear.

If TAKE light is fullyilluminated (NOTblinking) station isactive and in controlof engines gear andthrottle (Neutral lights willonly be ON if gear is in neutralposition).
If all 4 keypad lightsblink simultaneously,system is in ALARMMode. Shutdown sys-tem and proceed toAlarm Recovery (pg.13) before restarting.
If TAKE and GEARlights are blinkingevery 2 seconds, sta-tion is INACTIVE andnot in control of enginesgear and throttle (for multi-station applications ONLY).
PRESS & RELEASE the TAKE (orACTIVE) button one more time tocomplete the transfer of control to thenew control head station.
Station Lockout is achieved whenyou PRESS & HOLD the TAKE (orACTIVE) button for 5 seconds. Thiswill prevent someone from takingcontrol at all other stations.
Ease control handles into throttle range -you are now in normal Cruise Mode
Press & Release WARM to regain controlover engine gear

Trim Control THIS ALLOWS THE BOAT OPERATOR TO CONTROL THE TRIM / TILT OF THE ENGINE DRIVE UNIT FROMTHE CONTROL HANDLE OR KEYPAD (ONLY available with 6-button (TRIM) keypad).

To control both PORT &STBD trim simultaneously,PRESS and RELEASEtrim toggle switch located
on the PORT control handle.
11To control PORT & STBD trim / tilt separately, PRESS and RELEASEPORT or STBD trim button located on the center of the keypad.22With each press and release of the trim buttons, the engine drive units will respond incrementally. Forlarge movements of engine drive unit, buttons will need to be pressed and held until desired positionis reached.

DURING DIAGNOSTIC CHECK, THE SYSTEM WILL TRY TO WARN BOAT OPERATOR WHEN A PROBLEMIS DETECTED WHILE STILL OPERATING IN UNAFFECTED FUNCTIONS
Warning Mode
1) SLOW BLINK combined batteryinput is too low.
2) QUICK BLINK combined batteryinput is too high.
2-button & 6-button keypads will indicatebattery warning by 2 flashes of the LED thatis currently illuminated at time of fault.
1) Determine cause of input power prob-lem.
2) System will continue to operate nor-mally, unless battery exceeds systemparameters. If this occurs system will beswitched into ALARM Mode (see pg. 12).
1) Diagnostic tests have detected thatpart of the control system is not func-tioning normally.
2-button & 6-button keypads will indicatecheck system warning by 3 flashes of theLED that is currently illuminated at time offault.
1) Restart control system (turn OFF/ON).Move handles to Neutral or Idle detent.
2) Determine part of system not operat-ing properly (ie. gear, throttle, troll, etc.).
3) Utilize alarm code recovery procedureto discover source of problem (see trou-bleshooting section of manual).

WHEN ACTIVATED THE CONTROL SYSTEM WILL NOT CONTINUE TO OPERATE. THE TRANSMISSIONWILL GO TO NEUTRAL AND ENGINE SPEED WILL GO TO IDLE.
AlarmMode
During operation of the EEC, the system will continuously monitor system functions and will alert theoperator if a system problem has been detected. When ALARM Mode is activated, the control systemwill STOP functioning. In the case of most alarm conditions, the control system will return to engineidle and Neutral gear on the transmission.

Restart control system
NOTE: If your control system is equipped with a backup control system, this should be ACTIVATED IMMEDIATELY after thecontrol system enters Alarm Mode in order to regain propulsion control.

When the system is in ALARM Mode, return theMAIN STATION control handles to Neutral position
