• Time wasted in traffic: continuous grown in big cities -> Idle passenger time

• Only in São Paulo city, Brasil-> 1500 brand new cars/day

• Women’s opinion is decisive when choosing the new vehicle. Also, they’re responsible for 42% of total new vehicles aquisitions.

• For 88% of women, hair is essencial for personal and profession satisfaction.

Observed Facts:

• Hair Production demands long times.

• In São Paulo city, Brasil, average 2h42’/day (Ibope, 2010)

Proposal:

Hair Beauty devices adapted into vehicles, making use of engine and exhaust duct wasted heat.

• Hair Dryer

• Flat Hair Iron

• Curly Hair Iron

(Baby liss)

Operation:

Hair Dryer:

Just transport heated air to the desired location.

No internal electrical resistance. Fan is onboard the vehicle -> silenced operation, no electric chock risk.

Without electrical power limit, can deliver more thermal power then the ordinary electric hair dryer, making it the favorite.

Operation:

Flat Hair Iron

(Baby liss): Only transports

heated air. No electrical resistance, doesn’t get burn if someone accidentally forget to turn it off.

Useful moments and places

Useful moments and places:

Child on rain:

-> cold/flu

Page 19: Engine heat recovery

Useful moments and places:

Taxi

Long distance buses.

Page 20: Engine heat recovery

Useful moments and places:

• Make use of time wasted in traffic

• People who live far away from work

• After shower in the gym, make hair production on-the-go

• Morning shower without having to dry out at home

• Last minute accidents (water spilled from window, drizzle, etc)

• Child that took rain

• Taxi

• Long distance buses

• Make possible having the hair washed with a higher frequency

• Recovering part of delayed time – professional or personal

Page 21: Engine heat recovery

• Give possibility for a better use of time (time is luxury)

• Reuses wasted thermal energy - Ecological

• Home energy saving – avoid the use of electricity at home.

• Make possible to last minute hair style fix, being aways in the desired look.

Advantages

Sustainable product

• Make possible to get the hair hashed more frequentily.

• The electrical resistance will hardly ever get wasted – there’s no need for periodic change.

• The heating mechanism is central, mounted in the vehicle, not into the tail device. No risk of electric chock.

• In São Paulo city, 1500 brand new cars, every day

Foreseen:

• Women represent 42% of this market - 630 cars/day

• In launch : 2% of this share= 13 cars/day= 378/month

• In 6 months, 4%: 756 cars/month

• In 12 months, 9%: 1700 cars/month

• In 18 months, 17%, 3213 cars/month

• In 2 years, 32%: 6048 cars/month (72k/ano)

Page 23: Engine heat recovery

Foreseen

*Without correction of 1500 new cars/day

**32% = share of women that take confort as a must-have item when choosing the vehicle.

***Forecast only for São Paulo city, Brazil.

****Foreseen that only women would buy the accessory.

• Nacional demand, in 24 months: 170 k/year

• (base year: 2009: 3.18 mi cars/year)

(Higher demand from customers that live in big urban centers with high traffic jam index)

*****Without considering retrofit in existing vehicles.

Suplliers

• Automakers: engineering

• Hair Dryer, Flat and Curly hair iron: existing brands can make ajustments in their products and increase their portfolio. Final product would bring the automaker logo.

• Heat recovery: heat exchanger, thermal insulation air transport ducts, temperature sensors, electrical resistance, system control (control valves acting as a funciont ot the gas temperature).

• All new parts already have supplies for automarkers. If there isn’t the exact product, a simple adaptation would do.
