DASH,China–WKGallery,Room4212DASH, a pseudonym forXu Lida (b.1992) is bestknown for his works that featurecomicheroesandtelevisioncartooncharacters.Inspiredbygraffiti culture and his love for street basketball,DASHgainedadecadeofexperienceinstreetgraffitiand started painting on canvas combining graffiti,acrylic, and ink elements resulting in energetic andcolourful designs that allude to cartoon cultureappealingtoaudienceonandoffline.

Wei Xiaotian's (b.1983) creative process is analmost monotonous process. He uses lines ofequal thickness to construct the geometricpatternofhispaintings.Thepicture is repeatedfrommonochrometored,yellowandblue(threeprimary colors). He interweaves, superimposesand repeats. From afar, his works look like asimplegeometricfigurebutitinvitesonetoenteradeepprivatespacelayerbylayer.

JunZhengda,China–Natizoe,Room4107 Jun Zhengda (b.1987) employs the stainless-steelcastingprocess.Theartisthand-polishestheskinandarmorofhischaractersandothersubjectstoamirror-likesmoothness,achievingsculpture thatpossessa colorful visualeffectunderlightandshadow.Whilepursuingvisualimpactandstyling,Jun’sworks also reflect the young Chinese artistswho are reshaping the power of art andinterpreting traditional Chinese culture incontemporarydesignlanguage.

ZhangHua(b.1964)createsgracefulsculpturesandintensifiesspatialnarrationwithpropsandlengthenedmoulding.Withcrispflowinglines,the artist creates a visual impression of hissubjectsflyingtoanidealisticland.Extenuatedlimbsandbodies,motion,andyouthfulnessinZhang’sworks represent hopes, energeticallyrushing towards the future with dreams ofreachingtheirfinalgoal.

SoeSoe,Myanmar–V’ArtSpace,Room4204SoeSoe(b.1967)capturesthedappledflecksofsunlightthatspreadovertheterracedricefieldsoftheNorthernShanStateofMyanmar.The three-dimensional quality of his piecesdepicts thenatureof these fields, such thatone feels he is physically standing by thebeautifulhillsinMyanmar.Hisworksexudeavibrantenergyand its’ jeweledhuesattract,rejuvenate,anddelighttheviewer.

KwakSeungYong,SouthKorea–GalerieGAIA,Room4306Kwak Seung Yong (b.1969) paints with traditional andcontemporary elements to merge the Eastern andWestern cultures together, bringing an incomparableillusionandweightedrealityinhispaintings.In his “Old Future” series, the artist uses airbrush todepict the same subject in a variety of emotionaltextures,theartworkisalmostphotographic.Hepaintsa fantasy, featuring a woman wearing a traditionalKoreanhanboktorepresenthisownidentity.

KatherineFilice,UnitedStates,Room4110Katherine Filice is an award-winning internationallyrecognizedartistwithahighlyuniqueink-on-paperapproach.Based in the United States, she has exhibited her workworldwide and is held in private collections globally fromLondontoHongKong.Driven,compelledtoinvestigateandunderstand the human condition and relationships, Filice’sdrawings take anywhere from fifty towell over a hundredhourstocomplete.She uses a point-of-departure approach, and a uniquedetaileddrawingtechnique,thatcanfeellikeyouarelookingatthe"inside"ofastructurebothfigurativelyandliterally.

GraemeStevenson,Australia,Room4318GraemeStevenson(b.1958)createsmesmerizingpaintingsthatsimultaneously depict realistic subjects and enchantingnarratives. Stevenson began a full-time career as an artistmostly painting endangered species and began a lifelongjourney around the planet studying lions, tigers, elephants,bears,andnumerousotherwildlifespecies.Alongwithanimals,Stevenson paints fantasy, romantic scenes, and social andpolitical commentaries. He combines math, history,archaeology and nature into his paintings, which have beenfeatured in galleries and private collections throughout theworld.Hehasevolvedfrompaintingphotorealisticanimalstoscenesofsurrealismandexpressionism.
