Mission

History

Since it was founded,FRIGEL FIRENZE has beenmanufacturing machinery andequipment for industrial processcooling and temperature control.

1960

In the early 80’s, Frigel was thefirst company to propose air-blastfluid coolers (Ecodrygel) in place of chillers and cooling towers to cool hydraulics of processing machines, starting a real revolution in the field of industrial process cooling.

1980

In the early 90’s the Microgel family of Process Chillers were developed and integrated with Ecodrygel to form the revolutionary Frigel Ecodry System: an integrated approach to the plastic processing cooling requirements.During this time Frigel startedto expand its sales networkto major foreign markets, withselected agents and distributors.

1990-93

Following a rapid expansion in sales, both in domestic and foreign markets, moved from its 600 sq.mt. (6,500 sq.ft.) plant to a new 3.500 sq.mt (37,800 sq.ft.)building. In 1994, Sales reached 1,5 million Euros.

1994

1,5 million euros

Frigel opens its firstsubsidiary in China, followed twoyears later by a second subsidiaryin the USA. In that year salesreached 10 million Euros.

2004

In order to respondto the continuous expansion,Frigel built and moved to a new10,000 sq mt (108,000 sq ft)headquarters.

2007

The US subsidiary(Frigel North America) boughtand moved to its new USheadquarter; a 4.000 sq.mt(40,000 sq ft) building nearChicago, where it started tomanufacture its products locallyin order to reduce transport costsand lead times.The Group Sales in 2008exceeded 20 million Euros.

2008

More than 5.000 coolingplants supplied by FRIGEL arerunning world-wide.With its network of subsidiaries,exclusive distributors andafter-sales service organizations,Frigel is able to quickly andaccurately satisfy its customer’srequests in any partof the world.

Frigel is a Market Leader around the World in Process Cooling, with three major objectives:

1. Finding “optimal” technical Solutions, maximizing performance and operational savings (energy and water);

2. Assuring a global presence with an extensive network of specialized local customer support;

3. A commitment to adopt technical solutions able to minimize the environmental impact.

Frigel is much more than a manufacturer and supplier of Cooling and Temperature Control equipment.

It is a real “technical consultant”, able to clearly identify the best solution (in terms of performance,

efficiency, environmental impact and thus return on investment) for each application and explain and prove

these concepts to each customer. This approach is the “heart” of our ability to innovate.

The constant effort in finding the most efficient solutions for each customer is very often the trigger

of new ideas and technological progress.
