  • Why attend?

Budapest gears up for energy trader invasion at ETCSEE 2015

    Dear colleague,

In order to top the success of last years event, where we saw a record number of C-level executives attend and a striking number of trading firms* join the show, the enthusiasm for a new edition is very tangible throughout the CSEE trading community weve been talking to.

Following the movements of the market, theres more than enough justification to gather together again with 400+ CSEE trading professionals. Based on our participants feedback and developments in the market we will return to Budapest on 17 & 18 June not only a beautiful city but also an important trading hub for the CSEE region.

In preparation for ETCSEE 2015 we have asked some of our key stakeholders about their concerns and vision for the future of the CSEE traded markets. Joining forces will help to emphasize the importance of wholesale trading and represent the sector with one strong voice. Please read their views on the next page

With over 16 years of experience in the region, ETCSEE has a well-deserved reputation as the regions number 1 networking event for traders. This year we hope to further contribute towards one single EU market and to serve your needs by providing the annual leading platform for traders.

Make sure to secure your seat for 17 & 18 June and I look forward to another inspirational ETCSEE in Budapest!

    Kind regards,

I am looking forward to joining the discussion at ETCSEE 2015 because of the ever-increasing regulation on national and European level for energy markets which is bringing constant market changes and challenges for trading entities. We would like to find answers for now and the future.

Falko Thormeier,Head of Gas Poland & Hungary, VNG

We are experiencing changes in market conditions right now that are often faster than market rules can be developed and implemented. Traders must remain in the debate through EFET, and help to share their experiences in the market to ensure that conditions and opportunities continue to improve.

Doug Wood, Chair, Gas Committee, EFET

At ETCSEE2015, I am looking forward to discussing the developments in the SEE region that could improve market conditions for energy traders. In particular, when it comes to the Bulgarian Power Exchange start up, an event which seems to be closer now, and whether we can expect concrete progress for the Serbian power exchange anytime soon now

Andrea Siri, Head of Trading SEE, Edison Trading

A lot of new regulations are coming up in the near future, impacting gas trading in Europe. The industry has to find suitable ways forward to face the regulatory challenges and stay successful. Will the liquidity at Central European Gas Hub be used by other markets in Central - and Eastern Europe for the new concepts of the Gas Target Model like Trading Region or Satellite Market Model ?
